Serum albumin is one of the most abundant two proteins in serum plasma and is the carrier of many materials such as fatty acids, amino acids, hormones and a variety of therapeutic drugs. The investigation of the interaction between bovine serum albumin (BSA) and flavonol and hypericin, two kinds of effective Chinese traditional medicine, can help to clarify the general rules and mechanism between fat-solubility complex and serum albumin. The development of site-specific protein cleaving reagents has been of interesting in biological chemistry. An chiral amino acid modified amphiphilic pyrenyl derivative, N-[4(1-pyrene)butyroyl]-phenylalanine, show great site-specific recognition and efficient photocleavage of proteins. Kumar et. al. advanced on the photocleavage of proteins by pyrenyl probe. But their properties on molecule recognition, especially on the chiral molecules recognition have not been studied. In addition, pyrene was mostly imported into molecular self-assemble and construction the efficient molecular photovoltaic devices due to the interesting properties, such as delocalized π-electron, a long lifetime in excited state and the pronounced ability to form excimer compared with other fluorescence species. And pyrene-containing compound can be a non-linear optical material with very coefficiency after the proper arrangement of the molecules.
