Water movement velocity, water content, temperature, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity reflect the character of geological body's water, heat, electricity. They are very important to study the geological body. Currently there is not an instrument system to meet the need of monitoring of the parameters. As a result, it is necessary to study and development an instrument system for monitoring the five parameters at the same time and spot. The essay gives emphasis to it. The main contents include: theory study of the thermal conduction equation; the study of on-line long time monitoring system; the indoor laboratory of saturated geologic body and unsaturated body; the study of sensor field-fixing method. The monitoring system is composed of multi-sensor, Former Instrument, the wireless transmission module, controlling soft and the data in reverse soft. The system's functions include the measurement, A/D, controlling automatically, saving and the serial communication. We develop the instrument system through intergrating the technique.The innovations, characteristics and main achievements of the study are summarized as the following:(1) An important characteristic of the monitoring system is the multi-parameter complex sensor of thermo-TDR. Especially the method study of measureing the water movement velocity and thermal conductivity of geological body changes the actuality of no instrument of detecting the parameters.(2) The system realizes the instrument portable designing and low power founction on the based of high speed, high precision, multi-parameters collecting.(3) It has realized the data wireless transmission and the Former Instrument's remote management.(4) It applys IM(Inverse Modeling) to the data processing and compares the data get from the resolution method and the IM method.(5) Through the field fixing experiment, we study the fixing craftwork on the sitnations of the geological body and provide a fixing method under this conduction.The success of the on-line monitoring system's study and development fills up the international blank in the field of heat pulse. The technological performance of the monitoring system is head of the others in the world.
