In this part we firstly divide a complex 13-level system into several indepen-dent 3-level subsystems theoretically and analyze the electromagnetically inducedtransparency (EIT) of rubidium vapour in a static magnetic field. Experimentalresults show that an EIT window can be split into several sub-windows dependingon the orientation of the magnetic field. All split EIT windows are accompaniedwith high dispersion, which makes it possible to slowing down light propagationsimultaneously at several nearby frequencies.We study the hyperfine levels of 87Rb D1line (5S1/2→5P1/2) as shown inFig.1(a), where the hyperfine level F = 2 of 5P1/2 state serves as the excited level...
