In this paper the clue of the electricity characteristics of hydrologic cycle ofgroundwater system bearing abundant water resource in Yin Chuan Plain is given, based on electric depth-probing method, together with traditional isotopichydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry ,integrated hydrogeological electric analogyanalysis and mathematical statistics are used to analyze dimensional structure andflow characteristics of the Yin Chuan Plain groundwater system, following this, thegroundwater recharge and water quality distribution are synthetically studied and as aresult, suggestions of groundwater development are given, which provides scientificfoundation for the mapping of sustainable development strategy of groundwaterresources in Yin Chuan Plain Conclusions can be drawn from the above studies: the electricity of the pluvialfan in HeLan Mountain presents obviously high and lithology of geologic strata thereappears to contain coarse block stone, floating stone and sandy gravel. Together withthe fact that the recharge of groundwater comes from local precipitation and bedrockfracture water, groundwater here is rich and water quality seems fine. Furthermore,single-layer unconfined water and the covering unconfined water (depth is 60m) inalluvial fan and pluvial fan receive recharge mainly from Yellow River irrigationseepage. The electricity of Yellow River alluvial fan presents high and seems the samein the chief channel of Yin Chuan Plain, which indicates that once the depth of waterlevel is bigger than 60m, the recharge source mostly comes from Yellow Riverirrigation seepage. What's more, isotope source method indicates that the quantity ofrecharge from Yellow River occupies 87 percent of total recharge.Based on statistics principles, the mathematical model of correlation betweenresistivity and total dissolved solid of groundwater is built in aquifers of alluvial plainand lake alluvial plain in Yin Chuan Plain. Subsequently the spatial distribution ofgroundwater quality (Total dissolved solid) rules are systematically studied. As aresult, it can be found that deep groundwater quality distribution belts have beencontrolled by a fault called Yin Chuan----Ping Luo Holocene active fault born in YinChuan Plain.According to the study result of groundwater recharge and water qualitydistribution in Yin Chuan Plain, the advice of groundwater development in study areais given: in He Lan Mountain alluvial fan area the emphasis should be put ongroundwater resource conservation and protection;surface water and groundwatershould be combined to be developed and used in Yin Chuan area and Wu Ling area;inthe north part of Yin Chuan Plain where groundwater runoff takes on stagnant, surfacewater irrigation should be limited and the drainage channel needs to be improved.Besides, watering irrigation and vertical well drainage are suggested to increasegroundwater renewal capacity, so as to fulfill the purpose of solving soil salinity.
