Drill Rig with Automobile Chassis include petroleum well drilling, rocky drilling, water well drilling, coal gas layer drilling and other engineering construction drill machine, etc. Besides road condition is well in city, Drill Rig with Automobile Chassis was operated in open country where roadway is bad and geological complexion is of complexity. Suspension system must be especially demand because Drill Rig with Automobile Chassis runs particularity as well as work surrounding Drill Rig with Automobile Chassis often uses tradition vehicle suspension system, composing springiness and damp component ,mostly including armor plate spring suspension or combining suspension by armor plate spring suspension and rubber. This suspension system is competent when runs in low speed on planar road surface. On the basis of referring to a great deal of external and internal information on hydro-pneumatic suspension technology,this chapter introduces the structure and type and characteristics,retrospect the history of the hydro-pneumatic suspension,research status and main application field etc.,and points out the hydro-pneumatic suspension is the ideal suspension device for its nonlinear spring and damping Characteristics,and it has great practical 1neaning to study on it.On the base of analyzing fore-researcher's investigation work, puts forward the question need to be studied more,and shows the main study contents of the paper. This paper combines with the Jilin University innovation fund project"Study on special purpose vehicle entire wheel intelligence steering system"(serial number:2004 CX01), Selects the mono-tube hydro-pneumatic system of type SGA3550 Mineral product automobile as study sample,establishes the physical model of hydro-pneumatic cylinder through properly simplifying its practical structure according to its working elements.the paper establishes the thermo-mechanically coupled model for hydro-pneumatic cylinder firstly . Studies its force-displacement Characteristics force-velocity Characteristics and nonlinear stiffness and damping characteristics.The paper tests and studies the friction characteristics , static and dynamic performances of hydro-pneumatic cylinder .The consistency of the experiment and Simulation results proves the correctness of the mathematical model.The fractal characteristic of the hydro-pneumatic cylinder performance distribution is studied with the fractal theory. This paper mainly research achievement and conclusion includes such contents as follows: 1. This paper first demonstrates it is essential and feasibility using Hydro-pneumatic suspension system with Drill Rig with Automobile Chassis, compared Chassis system on mobile machinery shop, and analyzing applications actuality, this paper think it is necessary that Hydro-pneumatic suspension system with Drill Rig with Automobile Chassis, after analyzing vehicle parameter and configuration, author think it is feasibility with manufacture capability advancement. 2. The mathematical model for hydro-pneumatic suspensioncylinder.This chapter belongs to the theoretical study on the performance of hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder. The paper select type SGA3550 Mineral product automobile with hydro-pneumatic suspension as study sample, introduces its fix structure and analyzes its working elements firstly,and establishes the physical model through Simplify the real structure rationally,and establishes the thermo-mechanically coupled model for hydro-pneumatic cylinder depending on the theories including hydro dynamics ,Beattie-Bridgeman equation of real gas and the first law of thermodynamics etc. 3. Dynamic characteristics simulation study on hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder. on the base of the mathematical model of hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder established in the chapter two,simulates the work characteristics and the change law of internal parameters such as fluid flow and gas pressure under the external sine displacement excitation. This chapter puts forward using displacement-force and velocity-force to describe the dynamic characteristics of the hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder,and simulates the affection of the excitation parameters such as amplitude and frequency, structure parameters such as orifice diameter and cylinder internal diameter and rod diameter etc., and working parameters such as initial gas pressure and volume and temperature on the dynamic characteristics of the hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder,and derivates the equation of the stiffness and damping of the hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder, and studies the affection of the key structural and working parameters on theStiffness and damping characteristics. All of these can be treated as the theoretical base to select the parameters and design the Hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder.Finally,the change time history of temperature of gas and hydraulic oil and why the temperature of hydraulic oil higher than the one of gas are analyzed under different sine excitation. 4. The experimental study on hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder.Experimental study is the important means to study the characteristics and validate the mathematical model.This chapter refers to the experimental method of mono-cylinder shock absorber,puts forward the experimental method of hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder including friction and static and dynamic characteristics,tests the performances of the hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder of type SGA3550 Mineral product automobile with a hydraulic servo test-rig.The correctness of the mathematical model is proved by consistency between the experiment results and simulation ones.The paper analyzes the experimental results,puts forward the evaluation method for the hydro-pneumatic suspension cylinder,and discusses the reason of the error. 5. First, the fractal characteristic of the hydro -pneumatic cylinder performance distribution is studied with the fractal theory. The fractal dimensions of hydro-pneumatic cylinder's output force, output force distribution are measured according to the performance data of main hydro-pneumatic cylinder's displacement, and the fractal models are derived.
