Objective:1.Through clinical investigation and research on the TCM syndrome types and physique of children with functional constipation, analyze and explore the distribution characteristics and laws of the TCM syndrome types and physique of children with functional constipation, with a view to providing personalized guidance and reference for the prevention and treatment of children with functional constipation.2.Using the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance computing platform(TCMICS)V3.0software,based on statistical analysis functions, clustering, and association rule analysis methods,to explore Professor Liu Fang’s medication experience and dialectical thinking in treating children with functional constipation, thereby providing different ideas and medication bases for the treatment of children with functional constipation in traditional Chinese medicine.Material and method:1.The study selected children with functional constipation who were hospitalized at the Pediatric Clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to November 2022 as the research subjects, and collected their basic information(including gender, age, course of disease, etc.),TCM syndrome types, and physique related data based on the "Functional Constipation Children’s TCM Syndrome Type Questionnaire" and "TCM Body Mass Scale".After sorting out the data and entering it into the database, relevant analysis was conducted to explore the characteristics of TCM syndrome types and physical distribution in children with functional constipation.2.Select the case data of children with functional constipation diagnosed and treated by Professor Liu Fang in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pediatrics,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, from November2021 to November 2022,as the research object, and enter all data into the database, after standardized processing.Through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing Platform(TCMICS)V3.0,we summarized the four qi,five flavors, meridian tropism, and efficacy of Professor Liu Fang’s medication.Through association rule analysis, cluster analysis, and other methods,we extracted the core drugs, drug pairs, and combinations from the data to further summarize Professor Liu Fang’s core prescription and medication rules for treating functional constipation in children.Results:1.A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed in this research,of which 296 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 98.66%.(1)In this study, children were divided into three groups according to the duration of the disease. The duration of the disease ranged from 1 to 6 months: 51 cases(approximately17.23%);The course of disease is 6 months to 1 year: 105 cases(approximately 35.47%);The course of disease>1 year was: 140 cases(47.30%);Physical distribution of traditional Chinese medicine: 6 cases(2.03%)were of moderate constitution;290 cases(79.7%)were biased; The most frequent occurrence of biased quality is Qi deficiency quality,107 cases, accounting for36.15%,followed by: Yin deficiency quality in 90 cases, accounting for 30.41%,phlegm dampness quality in 40 cases, accounting for 13.51%,damp heat quality in 39 cases, accounting for 13.18%,Yang deficiency quality in 10 cases, accounting for 3.38%,>intrinsic quality in 3 cases, accounting for 1.01%,>Qi stagnation quality in 1 case, accounting for 34%,blood stasis quality not found,0.00%;Distribution of TCM syndrome types: food accumulation constipation is the most common, with 135 cases accounting for about 45.61%,followed by qi deficiency constipation, with 80 cases accounting for about 27.03%>yin deficiency constipation, with 61 cases accounting for about 20.61%>qi stagnation constipation, with 17 cases accounting for about 5.74%>dry heat constipation, with 2 cases accounting for about 0.68%>blood deficiency constipation, with 1 case accounting for about0.34%;(2)Distribution of TCM constitution and disease course(P<0.05,r=0.415): Among children with a disease course of more than 1 year, the most common constitution distribution is Qi deficiency(92),followed by phlegm dampness(33);Among children with a disease course of6 months to 1 year, the most common physical distribution is yin deficiency syndrome(80);The most common physical constitution of children aged from 1 to 6 months is dampness and heat(35);Distribution of TCM syndrome types and course of disease(P;The most common syndrome types of children with a disease course of 6 months to 1 year are yin deficiency constipation, followed by food accumulation constipation and dry heat constipation;Qi deficiency constipation is the most common syndrome type in children with a disease course of more than 1 year, followed by food accumulation constipation and yin deficiency constipation;Distribution of TCM constitution and TCM syndrome types(P;"Yin deficiency and damp heat are common in food accumulation constipation, phlegm dampness is common in yin deficiency constipation and food accumulation constipation, and yang deficiency is common in qi deficiency constipation.".There were 3 cases of intrinsic quality,1 case of qi stagnation quality,no evidence of blood stasis quality,1 case of blood deficiency constipation, and 2 cases of qi stagnation constipation, which are not statistically significant,so they are not described.2.This study included a total of 100 cases and 384 prescriptions, including 130 traditional Chinese medicines, with a cumulative frequency of 6720.(1)The frequency of use of 10 traditional Chinese medicines was more than 200 times: white peony(277)>atractylodes macrocephala(269)>fructus aurantii(265)>magnolia officinalis(252)>semen raphani(242)>shenqu(239)>tangerine peel(224)>poria cocos(220)>roasted licorice(205)>hemp seed(205).(2)Efficacy distribution: Buxu(1738)>Qingre(1066)>Xiaoshi(1026)>Liqi(562)>Dehumidifying(478)>Jiebiao(436)>Lishui Yinshi(350)>Xiaxia(328)>expectorant,cough relieving, and asthma relieving(239)>astringent(109).(3)Distribution of meridian tropism: Spleen meridian(4627)>Stomach meridian(3804)>Lung meridian(3280)>Heart meridian(1803)>Liver meridian(1391)>Kidney meridian(1126)>Large intestine meridian(1051)>Bladder(393)>Small intestine meridian(367)>Gallbladder meridian(268)>San Jiao meridian(201)>Pericardium meridian(90).(4)Distribution of drug properties: The most common is temperature(2565),followed by cold(2145),flat(1697),cool(117),and hot(21);The most common medicinal taste is sweet(4050),followed by bitter(2854),spicy(2537),sour(810),and salty(318).(5)Through association rule analysis, the top five combinations of usage frequencies are obtained: Fructus Aurantii,Cortex Magnoliae(232),Fructus Aurantii(212),Fructus Paeoniae Alba,Cortex Magnolia(209),Fructus Aurantii,Cortex Magnolia(196),Shenqu,and Hawthorn(191).(6)The association degree ranks first among the five groups of drugs used in the group:Magnolia officinalis,Huomaren-Fructus Aurantii;White peony, magnolia officinalis, hemp seed-trifoliate orange;Shenqu,malt-hawthorn;Semen raphani,malt-hawthorn;Malt hawthorn.(7)The core drugs selected include: white peony, atractylodes macrocephala, fructus aurantii, malt, magnolia officinalis, shenqu, semen raphani, hawthorn, tangerine peel, poria cocos, hemp seed, and ophiopogon japonicus.(8)Cluster analysis revealed four core drug groups:(1)white peony, atractylodes macrocephala, tangerine peel, semen raphani, fructus aurantii, and shenqu Fructus Aurantii,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Gardenia jasminoides,Magnolia officinalis,Fangfeng,patchouli;(3)White peony, trifoliate orange, magnolia officinalis, hemp seed, black ginseng, ophiopogon japonicus;(4)Poria cocos, atractylodes macrocephala, tangerine peel, roasted licorice, yam, divine starter.Conclusion:1.(1)There is a correlation between the TCM constitution and the course of disease in FC children: the course of disease in children with Qi deficiency syndrome is more than 1 year; The course of illness in children with yin deficiency is usually from 6 months to 1 year; The course of illness in children with damp-heat syndrome is usually from 1 to 6 months.(2)There is a correlation between TCM syndrome types and course distribution in FC children: the course of Qi deficiency constipation is more than 1 year; The course of yin deficiency constipation is usually 6 months to 1 year; The course of food accumulation and constipation is usually from 1 to 6 months.(3)There is a correlation between the constitution of FC children and the distribution of syndrome types: Qi deficiency is a predisposing constitution for Qi deficiency constipation, while Yin deficiency and damp heat are predisposing constitutions for food accumulation constipation.2.(1)Professor Liu Fang’s clinical medication for functional constipation mainly focuses on tonifying deficiency(tonifying qi and yin),with the meridians of the spleen, stomach, and large intestine as the main meridians, and the four qi types being the most temperate, followed by cold and calm; The most common five flavors are sweet, followed by bitter and spicy;(2)Professor Liu Fang’s potential prescription is mainly composed of sweet and warm, sweet and cold, and sweet and flat herbs, with both cold and warm herbs as the degree of calmness, supplemented by bitter and pungent herbs to promote qi and spleen circulation. He advocates the simultaneous treatment of the spleen and stomach, with both qi and yin being the foundation. The medication is sweet, mild, and moist, with calming and tonifying the spleen and stomach, strengthening the spleen and nourishing the spleen, supplementing qi and nourishing yin.During the entire process of constipation treatment, attention is paid to regulating the spleen and nourishing the spleen and yin.
