| ObjectiveTo observe and objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of combining Jingning decoction with acupressure eye patches in the treatment of postoperative dry eye after cataract surgery in the liver meridian damp heat type,in order to provide a new idea for the treatment of postoperative dry eye after cataract surgery in the liver meridian damp heat type.Methods62 patients(62 eyes)with dry eye after liver meridian damp-heat cataract surgery who visited Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to January 2023,were diagnosed with age-related cataract before surgery,and underwent cataract ultrasound emulsion surgery in our hospital were selected,and the included cases were assigned to the experimental and control groups in accordance with the random number table by using SPSS25.0 statistical software to generate a random number table.31 cases in each group.The control group was given vitreous acid sodium drops,and the test group was given vitreous acid sodium drops,Jingning decoction and acupressure eye patches.The treatment cycle was 5 weeks.The results of FBUT,FL,SIT,tear meniscus height,lid gland secretion function score,lid gland secretion trait score,dry eye degree evaluation scale score,and TCM symptom score were observed in both groups,and finally the data were analyzed and processed using SPSS software to compare the clinical treatment effects between the experimental and control groups.Results1.A total of 62 cases were included in this study,with 2 detached cases and 60 valid cases,including 30 cases(30 eyes)in the experimental group and 30 cases(30 eyes)in the control group.2.Before treatment,there were no statistical differences in age,gender,eye category,Chinese Dry Eye Questionnaire score,FBUT,FL,SIT,tear meniscus height,lid gland secretion function score,lid gland secretion nature score,dry eye degree evaluation scale score,and TCM symptom score between patients in the experimental group and control group(P>0.05),which were comparable.3.Compared with the pre-treatment period,the FBUT,FL,SIT,lid gland secretion function score,lid gland secretion nature score,dry eye degree evaluation scale score,and TCM symptom score improved in both groups after treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the experimental group showed significantly better improvement than the control group.4.After treatment,the tear meniscus height of the two groups was compared,and tear meniscus height of the patients in the experimental group was higher than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the control group,there was no significant improvement in the height of the tear meniscus after treatment compared with that before treatment,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the improvement effect of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group.5.After treatment,the total effective rate of the experimental group for post-cataract surgery dry eye was 86.67%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 70.00%,and the total effective rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThrough this study,it can be shown that combining Jingning decoction with acupressure eye patches for the treatment of dry eye after liver meridian damp heat cataract surgery can significantly improve FBUT,SIT and tear meniscus height,reduce FL score,lid gland secretion function score,lid gland secretion trait score,dry eye degree evaluation scale score and TCM symptom score,effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients with dry eye after liver meridian damp heat cataract surgery,and have better treatment effect and higher efficiency than the control group. |
