| Purpose:To explore the distribution of TCM syndrome types of hand-foot numbness in cancer patients after chemotherapy and whether the clinical factors are related to TCM syndrome types. To summarize the frequency of TCM decoction pieces used for treating hand-foot numbness after chemotherapy and the law of drug use.Material and method:A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with hand-foot numbness symptoms after chemotherapy hospitalized in the Oncology Department of Liaoning Hospital of TCM from January 2020 to December 2021.The symptoms, signs, tongue pulse, gender, age, chemotherapy drugs used in the past, smoking history, drinking history, hemoglobin value,KPS score,Microsoft Excel was used to establish a database,SPSS21.0 software was used for statistical analysis,k-means clustering analysis was used to summarize the distribution characteristics of syndrome type,chi-square test or Fisher test was used for correlation study.P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:1.The collected TCM syndrome types of 93 patients with hand-foot-numbness after chemotherapy can be summarized as qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,Yang deficiency and cold coagulation syndrome, and liver and kidney insufficiency syndrome.Among them,qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome is the most common,qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,Yang deficiency and cold coagulation syndrome rank second, and liver and kidney insufficiency syndrome occupy the smallest proportion.2.The TCM syndrome type distribution of hand-foot numbness after chemotherapy was correlated with gender, degree of hand-foot numbness, drinking history and KPS score(P<0.05),but not with age, anemia degree and smoking history(P>0.05).3.93 patients with hand and foot numbness after chemotherapy took 178 kinds of TCM decoction pieces internally, with a total frequency of 1445 times. There were 51 kinds of TCM decoction pieces for external use, with a total frequency of 223 times.Conclusion:1.The TCM syndrome types of patients with numbness of hands and feet after chemotherapy were mainly deficient syndromes, accompanied by deficient syndromes and positive syndromes, and the syndrome of qi deficiency and blood stasis is the most common.2.Gender,degree of hand and foot numbness, drinking history,KPS score were correlated with the distribution of TCM syndromes.3.In terms of the medication of hand and foot numbness after chemotherapy, oral Chinese medicine pays attention to strengthening and tonifying deficiency, and then dredge collaterals;External use of Traditional Chinese medicine to remove stasis, dispersing meridians and dredging collaterals. |
