Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Pestle Needle Combined With Chinese Medicine Fumigation In The Treatment Of Dry Eye Of Qi And Yin Deficiency Typ

Purpose: Through the observation and study of the clinical symptoms of dry eye patients with deficiency of both Qi and Yin before and after treatment,to explore the clinical efficacy of pestle needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of dry eyes,so as to provide a feasible basis for the treatment of dry eyes with deficiency of both qi and yin in the future,develop the method of traditional Chinese medicine to treat dry eye.Materials and methods:Selected 60 patients with dry eye due to Qi and Yin deficiency(only the right eye)who visited the ophthalmology clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2020 to November2021,and the patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected by random number table method,30 people were randomly divided into the treatment group and 30 people in the control group.On the basis of using sodium hyaluronate eye drops in the two groups,the treatment group was additionally treated with pestle needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation,and the control group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation,10 days as a course of treatment,a total of 3 courses of treatment,and statistical analysis of the patients started treatment respectively The clinical observation indicators such as tear secretion,tear film break-up time,corneal fluorescein staining,TCM syndrome score,and ocular surface disease index on the previous day and on the day after the course of treatment were used to draw conclusions.Results:1.Tear Break-up Time(BUT): After treatment,the tear film rupture time in each group was significantly longer than that in the control group(P< 0.01),and the tear film rupture time in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P <0.05);2.SchirmerⅠtest: the improvement of tear secretion in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05);3.Fluorescein Stain Test(FL): After treatment,the FL was significantly improved in each group(P<0.01),and the improvement of FL score in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05);4.International Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI): After treatment,compared within each group,each OSDI was significantly improved(P<0.01),and the OSDI total score in both groups was significantly improved(P<0.01);comparison between groups,night driving score,there was no significant difference in improvement between the two groups(P>0.05),and the improvement of other scores in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05),the OSDI total scores in both groups were significantly improved compared with the previous ones,and the subjective symptom improvement in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group after treatment(P<0.01).5.TCM syndrome scores: After treatment,compared within each group,all TCM syndromes in the treatment group were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),while in the control group,there was no significant improvement in the soreness and weakness of the waist and knees(P>0.05).Compared with before treatment,the improvement was significantly improved(P<0.01).Compared with the results between the two groups,there was no significant difference in the improvement of waist and knee soreness and weakness(P>0.05).The improvement of other scores in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total score of TCM syndromes in the group was significantly improved,and the improvement of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion: In the clinical study of pestle needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of dry eyes with deficiency of both Qi and Yin,good clinical results have been obtained to a certain extent,it can enhance the stability of tear film,promote tear secretion,repair damaged cornea and improve TCM symptoms and signs,so as to improve dry eye symptoms.
