| ObjectsOn the basis of conventional electroacupuncture,we studied the safety and efficacy of the combination of pestle needle at low back Hechelu and electroacupuncture on the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS)with spleen-kidney Yang deficiency, intend to provide new ideas and methods for the clinical treatment of CFS and promote the clinical promotion and application of pestle needle therapy.MethodsA total of 70 subjects who met the inclusion criteria of spleen-kidney Yang deficiency type CFS and participated voluntarily from January 2018 to January 2019 were selected from the inpatients in Sichuan second hospital of traditional Chinese medicine. The subjects were divided into treatment group and control group by simple random method. The control group was treated with conventional electroacupuncture, and the experimental group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with pestle needle. The subjects in the two groups were treated 5 times a week for 1 month,a total of 20 times. The Fatigue Severity Scale(FSS),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Somatic and Psychological Health Report(SPHERE)were selected as the efficacy evaluation indexes. The effects of the two treatment regimens on the symptoms and emotional state of CFS patients were evaluated at three time points: before treatment, after treatment, and during follow-up(the first month after treatment).Result1.The experimental group and the control group completed 34 cases respectively;2.The subjects in the two groups had the same baseline in terms of demographic data, disease course and scale score, which was comparable(P>0.05);3.Efficacy evaluation: 1)Intra-group comparison: FSS,SAS,SDS and SPHERE scores of the experimental group and the control group after treatment and follow-up were all lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).2)The comparison about the score and the score improvement between the groups after treatment: FSS scores in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group after treatment(P<0.01),while there was no significant differences in SAS,SDS,and SPHERE scores compared with the control group(P>0.05).The improvement of FSS and SAS scores in the experimental group was higher thanthat in the control group(P<0.05),but the improvement of SDS and SPHERE scores was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P>0.05).3)The comparison of follow-up scores and score improvement : FSS,SAS,SDS and SPHERE scores of the followup in test group were all lower than those of the control group(P<0.05);And the score improvement in FSS,SAS,SDS and SPHERE in test group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).4)Efficacy: The total effective rate of the experimental group and the control group were 91.18% and 76.47% after treatment and 88.24%,73.53% in follow-up respectively, while there was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment and follow-up.(P>0.05).4.Correlation analysis:The improvement of SAS and SDS scores in the experimental group was positively correlated with the improvement of FSS score.Conclusions1.The fatigue degree, potential symptoms, anxiety and depression in CFS patients can be significantly alleviated by the simple electroacupuncture and the combination of pestle needle at low back Hechelu and electroacupuncture;2.The effect of electroacupuncture combined with pestle needle at low back Hechelu therapy is better than simple electroacupuncture in improving CFS patients’ fatigue degree and the follow-up still has an advantage, and it is concluded that the long-term effect is stable in the comprehensive threapy group;3.There was no significant difference between electroacupuncture combined with pestle needle at low back Hechelu therapy and simple electroacupuncture in improving anxiety, depression and potential symptoms in CFS patients in short-term,but there was an advantage in follow-up,and it is concluded that the long-term efficacy is more stable in the comprehensive threapy group;4.The improvement of depression and anxiety levels in CFS patients may be correlated with the improvement of fatigue degree in the experimental group treated with electroacupuncture combined with pestle needle at low back Hechelu therapy. |
