Observation On The Efficacy Of Staged Treatment Of Functional Constipation In Children (yin Deficiency And Intestinal Dryness Type

Purpose:To explore the effectiveness and safety of the two-stage prescription in treating children’s functional constipation(Yin deficiency and intestinal dryness)by stages,and expand the treatment methods of children’s constipation.Material and method:From March 2019 to December 2021,80 cases who met the inclusion criteria and adopted a phased treatment plan were selected.In the first stage(the first and second weeks of treatment),Zengye Maren Decoction was used.In the second stage(the third and fourth weeks of treatment),Shenling Baizhu Powder was used.All cases were set as a group,and self-control method was used to observe the curative effect and TCM syndromes(defecation interval,dry stool,difficulty in defecation,abdominal distension,dry mouth,fatigue,anorexia,yellow urine,hand and foot heart heat,zygomatic redness,night sweat)of the children before and after treatment,respectively,to evaluate the therapeutic effect.Results:1.Evaluation of clinical efficacy: After one week of treatment,the effective rate of clinical treatment was 97.5%.The effective rate was 100% after two weeks and four weeks of treatment.2.Comparison of the overall curative effect of TCM syndromes: the effective rate of 60.0%after two weeks of treatment was significantly higher than that of 2.5% in the first week,and the curative effect of 1.3% children was evaluated as cured;The cure rate of 90.0% after four weeks of treatment was significantly higher than that of 0.0% in the first week.The cure rate of 90.0% after four weeks of treatment was significantly higher than that of 1.3% in the second week.3.Comparison of curative effects of TCM syndromes:(1)comparison before and after treatment: after one week of treatment,there was no significant difference between before and after treatment in mental fatigue,fever of hands and feet,red cheeks and night sweats(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in defecation interval,dry stool,difficulty defecation,abdominal distension,dry mouth,lack of fluid,anorexia and yellow urine(P < 0.05);After two weeks of treatment,there was no significant difference between before and after treatment in mental fatigue,fever of hands and feet,red cheeks and night sweats(P>0.05),but there were significant differences between two weeks of treatment and before treatment in defecation interval,dry stool,difficulty in defecation,abdominal distension,dry mouth,lack of fluid,anorexia and yellow urine(P < 0.05).After four weeks of treatment,there were significant differences between before and after treatment in defecation interval,dry stool,difficulty in defecation,abdominal distension,dry mouth,lack of fluid,listlessness,anorexia,yellow urine,hot hands and feet,red cheekbones and night sweats(P < 0.05).(2)Comparison of the two stages of treatment: There are significant differences between the four weeks of treatment and the two weeks of treatment in defecation interval,dry stool,abdominal distension,dry mouth,lack of fluid,listlessness,anorexia,yellow urine,fever of hands and feet,red cheeks and night sweats(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference between the four weeks of treatment and the two weeks of treatment in defecation difficulty(P > 0.05);4.The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.5%;5.The follow-up recurrence rate was 5%;Conclusion:1.The application of Zengye Maren Decoction is effective in treating constipation due to intestinal dryness due to yin deficiency;2.In the later stage of constipation due to intestinal dryness due to yin deficiency,shenling Baizhu powder can be used for conditioning,which can improve the curative effect of TCM syndromes;3.The treatment scheme of treating children constipation(Yin deficiency and intestinal dryness)by stages is effective as a whole.
