Objective: To explore the influence of integrated shift transfer in the SituationBackground-Assessment-Recommendation(SBAR)communication mode on the quality of shift transfer in emergency pediatric critically ill children. Methods: From August 2019 to June 2021,family members of critically ill children treated in the emergency department of a children’s hospital in Changsha and medical staff were selected as the research objects. From August 2019 to June 2020,100family members of critically ill children treated in the emergency department and 30medical staff in the emergency department(without SBAR training)were selected as the control group. From August 2020 to June 2021,a total of 100 family members of critically ill children treated in the emergency department and 30 medical staff of the emergency department(who completed the SBAR integrated transfer training)were selected as the experimental group.Patients’ bedside shift Perception Scale, nurses’bedside shift Evaluation Scale, nurses’ bedside shift evaluation questionnaire,Chinese version of nursing cooperation scale and shift error rate were used as evaluation indexes. All data were analyzed by SPSS21.0 statistical software package, and the test level α=0.05.Results: 1.General data of medical staff and children’s family members were included, and medical staff were always the same group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender, age, occupation and education background(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.2.The score of the bedside shift perception scale for family members of children in the control group was 72.62 points, and that in the experimental group was 77.23points.After the adoption of SBAR,the satisfaction of family members of children increased from 85.44% to 90.86%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The scoring scale of bedside shift for emergency pediatric nurses in the control group was 89.85 points, while that of emergency pediatric nurses in the experimental group was increased to 93.87 points, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).4.In the control group, the score of emergency pediatric nurse shift evaluation scale was 51.81 points. The mean score of the emergency pediatric nurse shift evaluation scale in the experimental group was increased to 57.81 points, with statistical significance(P<0.05).5.In the control group, the cooperative scale of emergency pediatricians was 85.32points,and that of nurses was 83.46 points. The medical cooperation scale of the experimental group was 88.46 points for doctors and 89.23 points for nurses, and the scores of the medical cooperation scale of the experimental group were improved compared with the control group in terms of total score, patient information exchange, and joint participation in treatment or decision-making,with statistical significance(P<0.05).6.The error rate of emergency pediatric nurses’ shift registration in the control group was 13.77%,and that in the experimental group was 4.70%.The errors in handover information errors, omission of handover information, forgotten signature, unqualified writing and other aspects were significantly reduced, with statistical significance(P <0.05).Conclusions: SBAR integrated shift can improve the quality of shift between doctors and nurses, improve the ability of nurses to participate in decision-making and treatment, strengthen medical cooperation, reduce the rate of nurse shift error, and improve the satisfaction of family members of children. It provides better nursing services for children and their families.
