Clinical Study Of Bushen Qutan Decoction For The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis With Kidney Deficiency And Phlegm Coagulation Syndrome

ObjectiveBy comparing the clinical efficacy and safety of Bushen Qutan Decoction and Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules in the treatment of obese knee osteoarthritis(kidney-deficiency and phlegm-coagulation syndrome),this paper provides new ideas for the differentiation and treatment of knee osteoarthritis in traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsThe cases of illness were selected from obese patients with knee osteoarthritis(kidney deficiency and phlegm coagulation syndrome)who were treated in the outpatient department of the Department of Arthrology of Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2022.A total of 62 patients who met the inclusion criteria of this study were selected and randomly divided into test group and control group.The test group took the self-designed Bushen Qutan Decoction(Bushen Zhuangjin Decoction plus Erchen Decoction),while the control group took the Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules alone.The treatment cycle is 2months.Then compare the clinical efficacy,VAS score,WOMAC osteoarthritis and the diagnostic efficacy score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome index between the test group and the control group before and after treatment.ResultsThe VAS score of the two groups of patients is consistent with the pain score of the WOMAC quantitative table: the Bushen Qutan Decoction and the Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules can relieve knee pain,and the pain relief effect of the Bushen Qutan Decoction is better.In the comparison of WOMAC stiffness score,the two groups of treatment schemes effectively reduced the WOMAC stiffness score of patients.The comparison between the groups after treatment,P<0.05,showed that the Bushen Qutan Decoction is better than the simple glucosamine hydrochloride capsule in alleviating the stiffness of knee osteoarthritis.In the comparison of WOMAC joint function score,the two treatment schemes effectively reduced the WOMAC joint function score of patients,indicating that both treatment methods can effectively improve the knee joint function of patients.But the score of the two groups of patients after treatment was compared between the two groups(P>0.05),it shows that the two groups had the same effect in improving knee function.Bushen Qutan Decoction can effectively relieve local symptoms of the knee joint with the Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules in the comparison of the diagnosis and efficacy score of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes.And the improvement of symptoms in the experimental group is better.The test group is effective in improving the systemic syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine in patients with knee arthritis in the analysis of the systemic syndrome score.The treatment of simple Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules is ineffective.ConclusionBoth the Bushen Qutan Decoction and the Glucosamine Hydrochloride Capsules can achieve considerable clinical efficacy in the treatment of obese knee osteoarthritis(kidney-deficiency and phlegm-coagulation syndrome)patients.And the Bushen Qutan Decoction is more effective in alleviating knee pain and improving stiffness of knee.In terms of improving systemic syndromes,the Bushen Qutan Decoction shows the advantages of syndrome differentiation and treatment and the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine.
