Chinese Version Of The Scale For Prediction Of Low Back Pain Occurrence Among Nurses And Its Application In Clinical Nurses

Objective1 The Scale for Prediction of Low Back Pain Occurrence among Nurses was introduced,and the original scale was translated,revised,and tested for reliability and validity according to the process of the scale’s localization and the local culture of China.2 To understand the current situation of low back pain in clinical nurses and analyze its influencing factors and the correlation with coping styles.Methods1 After being authorized by the original author,the original scale was translated and back-translated based on the Brislin translation back-translation model,and the scale was modified in combination with the expert opinions of cross-cultural debugging and the feedback from the pre-investigation,and finally the Chinese version of the nurses’ backache prediction scale was obtained.The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the scale were tested by convenience sampling and selecting 522 clinical nurses working in Hohhot’s Class III Hospital as the study subjects.The project analysis adopts correlation coefficient method and critical ratio method,and internal consistency test(Cronbach’s α Coefficient)and retest reliability were used to test the reliability of the scale.Content validity,structural validity(exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis)and calibration correlation validity were used to test the validity of the scale.2 Current situation survey: It is convenient to select 205 nurses who meet the standard of admission and discharge from the first class hospitals in Hohhot and Hulunbeier as the research objects,and distribute the general information questionnaire,the Chinese version of the Nurses’ Back Pain Occurrence Prediction Scale and the Simple Coping Style Scale to them,then analyze and explore the risk status and influencing factors of the nurses’ back pain,as well as the correlation with the coping style.Results1 The Chinese-version of the prediction scale for the occurrence of low back pain for nurses and its reliability and validity test: the Chinese-version of the prediction scale for the occurrence of low back pain for nurses,determined after the Chinese-version and cultural adjustment,has three dimensions and 40 items.The correlation coefficient r between each item and the total score of the scale was 0.425-0.714,which was greater than 0.4(P<0.001).The test results of the decision value of each item of the scale were greater than 3.0(P<0.001).The overall internal consistency coefficient Cronbach’s alpha of the Chinese version of The Scale for Prediction of Low Back Pain Occurrence among nurses was 0.932,The Cronbach’sα of three dimensions are 0.914,0.875 and 0.886 respectively;The retest reliability is 0.933.The content validity index I-CVI of the scale items is between 0.857 and 1.00,and the average content validity index S-CVI of the scale is 0.996;Three common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was44.318%;The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that IFI=0.910,CMIN/DF=1.463,RMSEA=0.047,TLI=0.904,CFI=0.909,and the calibration correlation validity was 0.984(P<0.001).2 The average score of the individual subscale dimension of the Scale for Prediction of Low Back Pain Occurrence among nurses was(2.82±0.386),the average score of the occupational subscale dimension was(3.31±0.509),the average score of the psychological subscale dimension was(2.62±0.481),and the score of the total scale was(2.93±0.339).3 The results of multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that clinical working years,night shift shift,whether to provide training on prevention of low back pain,and whether to have children were the influencing factors of the scale,which accounted for 39%of the variance;The occurrence of low back pain in nurses was negatively correlated with nurses’ positive coping and positively correlated with negative coping.Conclusion1 The Chinese version of the scale for predicting the occurrence of low back pain in nurses has good reliability and validity,and can be used to evaluate the current situation of low back pain in nurses in China.2 The current situation of low back pain among nurses in China is at a moderately high level,which should be paid attention to.The risk of low back pain in nurses is related to the number of years of work,the number of night shifts,relevant knowledge training,and whether they have children.The longer the working years,the greater the risk of low back pain,the more night shifts,the greater the risk of low back pain,whether they have participated in relevant knowledge training and the number of children,will also have an impact on the occurrence of low back pain of nurses,so nursing managers should intervene for the modifiable influencing factors,arrange work suitable for age for nurses of different working ages,reasonably arrange night shift scheduling,strengthen the training of low back pain related knowledge,and cause nurses to pay attention to low back pain.Stimulate nurses to actively cope with low back pain,improve the overall health of the nursing team,so as to better serve the clinic.
