Research On Product Of Geographical Indication-lueyang-Polygonatum Sibiricum Red.processing Technology And Quality Standards

Polygonatum sibiricum Red.is a perennial herb of the family Liliaceae,with its rhizome used as a medicinal material.Its shape resembles a chicken head and is commonly known as "Chicken-Headed Polygonatum." It possesses the therapeutic effects of nourishing Qi and Yin,tonifying the spleen,moisturizing the lungs,and benefiting the kidneys,which establishes it as a frequently utilized bulk medicinal material within China.In 2019,"Geographical Indication Product Lueyang Polygonatum sibiricum Red." was included in the planned project for the formulation of local standards in Shaanxi Province.This study conducted quality research on the primary processing technology of Lueyang Polygonatum sibiricum Red.and20 batches of Lueyang Polygonatum sibiricum Red.samples within the scope of geographical indications,providing a scientific basis for the formulation of local standards for Lueyang Lueyang Polygonatum sibiricum Red.Additionally,the quality of 10 batches of Polygonatum sibiricum within and outside of Shaanxi Province was studied and analyzed,aiming to comprehensively control the quality of Polygonatum sibiricum and further establish the foundation for a comprehensive evaluation system of the quality of Polygonatum sibiricum.The main research findings are as follows:1.The primary processing method for determining the production origin of Polygonatum sibiricum is as follows: de-enzyming after cleaning,first-grade products for 15 minutes,second-grade products for 10 minutes,and third-grade products for 5 minutes.This is followed by drying at 60℃ for 12 hours,and then kneading,after that sweating for 12 hours,and repeating the process 10 times.There is no significant difference in the internal quality of the dried Polygonatum sibiricum slice,whether it is blanched thoroughly and dried,sweat-dried,dried at 60℃,or dried in a gradient manner.2.After studying and analyzing 20 batches of samples of Lueyang Polygonatum sibiricum Red.,a geographical indication product,for moisture,total ash,acid-insoluble ash,extractives,polysaccharide content,sulfur dioxide,heavy metals,and harmful elements,the following specifications have been determined: moisture content ≤18%,total ash ≤4%,acidinsoluble ash ≤2%,extract content ≥50%,polysaccharide content≥7.6%,total As ≤1.0 mg/kg,Pb ≤2.0 mg/kg,Cd ≤0.5 mg/kg,Hg ≤0.1 mg/kg,Cu ≤15 mg/kg,and sulfur dioxide ≤150 mg/kg.According to the requirements of the relevant procedures of local standards,the drafting of standards was carried out,and finally passed the approval of Shaanxi Provincial Market Supervision Bureau.Then,the " Product geographical indication Lueyang-Polygonatum sibiricum Red."(Final draft)was finalized.Finally,it was approved by the Shaanxi Provincial Market Supervision Bureau and released as a recommended standard(DB61/T1603-202).3.A quality evaluation study was conducted on 10 batches of Polygonatum sibiricum from different places of origin.The weighted indicators were evaluated using entropy weight method,and the overall score was calculated to compare the quality differences of Polygonatum sibiricum from different production areas.The overall scores ranked from high to low were LYS>XAS>HB>GZ>YJ2>HZ>HN>YJ1>LN>SX.The quality of LYS is the best,while the quality of SX was the worst.High moisture content is the biggest problem for quality control of Polygonatum sibiricum.
