Objective:The quality of life and self-management,as well as family support,of at-home peritoneal dialysis patients is described in terms of the current state.Examining the effects of self-control,familial backing and the quality of life of those receiving at-home peritoneal dialysis.Family support’s mediation of the connection between self-management and quality of life in at-home peritoneal dialysis patients is elucidated.To further provide reference for the implementation of targeted health education for patients with peritoneal dialysis at home and their families.Methods:A total of 229 patients who underwent peritoneal dialysis catheterization in nephrology Department of Dali Tertiary Hospital and underwent fluid change at home from February 1,2022 to September 31,2022 were selected by convenient sampling method.The general information questionnaire,self-management,family support and quality of life scale were used to conduct the questionnaire.SPSS27.0 software was used for data entry and statistics,and mean,standard deviation,frequency and constituent ratio were used to describe the general information,self-management,family support and life quality of at-home peritoneal dialysis patients.T-test,one-way analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis were used to explore the influencing factors of self-management,family support and quality of life.Pearson analysis was used to explore the correlation between patients’ self-management,family support and quality of life.The mediation effect test program SPSS Process was used to analyze the mediating effect of family support on self-management and quality of life in at-home peritoneal dialysis patients.Results:1.The average self-management score of the subjects was(43.89±20.00).There were statistically significant differences in self-management scores of home peritoneal dialysis patients with different ages,occupations,education levels,payment methods of medical expenses,main caregivers,living conditions,per capita monthly family income,monthly medical expenses,underlying diseases,dialysis time,medication compliance and complications(P < 0.05).2.The average score of family support was(10.93±4.08),and the average score of life quality was(129.41±31.86).3.A positive correlation between the overall score of self-management and its components and the total score of family support was observed(P < 0.05).4.A positive correlation was found between the total score of life quality and the total score of self-management and its components(P < 0.05).5.There was a positive correlation between family support and life quality(P <0.05).6.Family support is a mediating variable between self-management and quality of life.Conclusion:1.The self-management ability of patients with at-home peritoneal dialysis is at a low level: age,occupation,education level,payment method of medical expenses,main caregiver,living condition,per capita monthly family income,monthly medical expenses,underlying diseases,dialysis time,medication compliance and complications are the main factors affecting patients’ self-management.2.The family support and quality of life of in-home peritoneal dialysis patients were at a moderate level.3.A strong link exists between the quality of life of at-home peritoneal dialysis patients and their self-management,family support,and other factors.The quality of life of individuals can be both directly and positively foretold by self-management,as well as indirectly through familial backing.
