Clinical Study On Yisui Poxue Zhuyu Formula Made By Professor Zhao Jianjun In Treatment Of Convalescent Stroke With Marrow Deficiency And Blood Stasis Syndrome

Objective: To verify the clinical effect of Yisui Poxue Zhuyu Formula made by Professor Zhao Jianjun in the treatment of convalescence stroke with marrow deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.Methods: Seventy-two stroke patients with marrow deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in the convalescent period from November 2021 to February 2022 were recruited in outpatient department of encephalopathy of the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and were randomly divided into two groups.The patients in the control group orally taken Aspirin Enteric-coated Tablets of western medicine[produced by Bayer S.p.A.,the State Food and Drug Administration(SFDA)approval number:J20171021] for 100 mg each time after meals,once a day,while those in the treatment group was given aspirin and Yisui Poxue Zhuyu Formula(the herbs in the Formula was decocted in water and condensed into 300 ml,orally taken twice a day in the morning and evening)made by Professor Zhao Jianjun in combination.The patients were assessed by National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)and their TCM syndrome scores were evaluated before and one month following the treatment.The modified Rankin Scale and Barthel index(BI)were performed 6 months after treatment during the follow-up.The clinical data of the two groups were processed by statistical analyses to obtain a conclusion of this study.Results: Medical statistical analysis showed that NIHSS score one month after treatment and BI score six months after treatment had statistically significant between-group and intra-group differences(P<0.05),indicating the treatment were effective in patients in both groups.(1)It was found that the patients with NIHSS reduction ≥ 5 to 7 scores 1 month following the treatment accounted for 63.6%(21 cases)in the treatment group,which was higher than 30.3%(10 cases)in the control group(P<0.05),demonstrating that the treatment group had more improvement in neurological function than the control group.(2)The proportion of patients with BI score≥75 was 81.8%(27 cases)in the treatment group,which was higher than 51.5%(17 cases)in the control group(P<0.05);the proportion of patients with BI score≥85 in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group[60.6%(20 cases)versus 21.2%(7 cases)](P<0.05),suggesting that the patients in the treatment group had better improvement in activity level and independent ability than the control group.There were 5 cases(15.2%)with BI score≥95 in the treatment group,and 3 cases(9.1%)in the control group,but no significant difference was observed by Chi-square test.(3)At 6months after treatment,there were 22 cases(66.7%)with m RS score ≤2 in the treatment group,and 13 cases(39.4%)in the control group.Chi-square test showed that there was a significant difference in the ratio of patients with m RS score ≤2 between two groups(P<0.05).The results suggested that the treatment group had better efficacy in reducing the disability rate than the control group.(4)There were 32 effective cases in the treatment group,and 25 effective cases in the control group.The total clinical effective rate was 97.0% in the treatment group,which showed a significant difference compared to 75.8% in the control group(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group had better improvement in TCM symptoms than the control group.Conclusion: Yisui Poxue Zhuyu Formula made by Professor Zhao Jianjun can reduce the disability rate of in the treatment of convalescence stroke patients with marrow deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,enhance patients’ ability of daily living,improve the symptoms of TCM syndrome,and relieve their neurological deficits.
