Objective: By observing the clinical efficacy of Tongmifangfu Decoction in the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infections(gastrointestinal heat accumulation type)in children, the effectiveness of Tongmifangfu Decoction is explored, providing theoretical and practical basis for the clinical diagnosis and prevention of this disease. Methods: According to the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine,a total of 60 children with recurrent respiratory tract infection(gastrointestinal heat accumulation type)who met the inclusion criteria were collected and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was given Tongmifangfu Decoction, while the control group was given Huaiqi Huang Granules. The course of treatment is one week, and after three courses of treatment, the efficacy is evaluated by observing the frequency, course, and type of respiratory infection in both groups. Results: After three courses of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.86%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 82.14%.There was a significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group had a significant advantage in efficacy compared to the control group. In terms of main symptoms, the frequency, course, and grade of recurrent respiratory tract infections between the two groups of children were compared, and there was a significant difference in frequency and course(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group had a significantly better treatment effect in reducing the number of infections and shortening the course of disease than the control group;Comparing the improvement of dry stool in two groups of children, there was a significant difference(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group had a significantly better therapeutic effect on relieving symptoms of dry stool than the control group. In terms of concurrent treatment, gastrointestinal heat accumulation type in the two groups of children were compared.Among them, the treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of body heat, bloating in the stomach, bad breath, sores in the mouth and tongue, pharyngeal redness, swelling,or pain(P<0.05).Compared within the two groups, both groups showed improvement in recurrent respiratory tract infections and other symptoms after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion: This article analyzes and compares the effect of Tongmifangfu Decoction on gastrointestinal fever after 3 weeks of treatment,as well as the efficacy of repeated respiratory tract infections after follow-up.It explores the effect and principle of Tongmifangfu Decoction on children with recurrent respiratory tract infections(gastrointestinal heat accumulation type),providing theoretical basis and practical support for the clinical application of this formula.
