Objective: To explore the distribution of TCM body type in children with bronchial asthma at different ages and analyze the internal causes of disease onset to better guide clinical and real life.Methods: Subjects asthmatic children attending the outpatient clinic of the children’s clinic of Changchun University of Chinese medicine hospital from January 2022 to January2023 were selected.For the eligible children who were screened by the inclusion and exclusion criteria,a TCM physical questionnaire was issued,and the parents of the children were instructed to complete and return the questionnaire,which was 220 copies in total.A qualified questionnaire will be filled out for TCM physical determination,and at the same time,general living conditions such as feeding mode,growth environment,and life mapping will be collated and recorded.Finally,the profile of body size distribution was counted and the effect of general condition on body size formation was explored.Study related data were analyzed using spss21.0.Results: Out of 220 questionnaires returned,physical outcomes could not be exported in three,and a total of 217 children with asthma were included.151(69.59%)were male and 66(30.41%)were female;There were 126 children(58.06%)aged 3-6 years and 91children(41.94%)aged 7-14 years with asthma.The proportion of TCM Constitution of children with bronchial asthma,from large to small,is in the order of idiosyncrasy,Qi deficiency,yin deficiency,Yang deficiency,qi depression,phlegm dampness,damp heat,blood stasis,plain and qualitative.Statistically,there was no difference in the distribution of physical fitness between age groups except for Qi deficiency.Among them,children aged3-6 years with asthma were mainly of idiopathic,Qi deficiency and yang deficiency;Years(range,7-14 years)with idiosyncratic features,Qi deficiency,and yin deficiency.Risk factors for atopy were body mass index,history of allergic diseases,and family history of allergies,and the protective factor was long sleep.Conclusion: The TCM profiles of children with bronchial asthma tended to be morespecific(54.84%),Qi deficiency(16.13%),yin deficiency(6.91%),Yang deficiency(6.45%),and qi depression(5.53%).Among the different age groups,both telogen and Qi deficiency were the most common constitutional types.Among them,tropin,as the most numerous body type in this study,had some relationship with body mass index,history of allergic diseases,family history of allergy,and sleep duration.In contrast to previous findings,Qi deficiency is the main physical condition of asthmatic children,and is more prevalent in the preschool years.However,the proportion of yin deficiency and qi depression increased,which was mostly related to the growth and development environment of children,and parents and doctors should pay more attention.At the same time,conditions such as passive smoking,poor sleep,high learning stress and little exercise are prevalent in asthmatic children,affecting their physical and mental health and disease outcomes. |
