Clinical Observation Of Qingyan Mixture In Treating Acute Suppurative Tonsillitis(Syndrome Of Lung And Stomach Heat)

Purpose:To observe the clinical efficacy of Qingyan mixture in the treatment of acute suppurative tonsillitis and lung-stomach heat excess syndrome,including TCM syndrome score,fever reduction time,pharyngeal pain relief time,abscess disappearance time and tonsil recovery time,as well as the effects of WBC,NE%,Hs-CRP,IL-6 and PCT,so as to provide the basis for the treatment of acute suppurative tonsillitis and lung-stomach heat excess syndrome.Method:Seventy-two patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups by drawing lot.The control group was treated with conventional antibiotics,and the treatment group was orally treated with Qingyan mixture on the basis of the above,and observed for 5 days.The scores and total scores of TCM syndrome,the reduction rate of syndrome scores,the time of fever reduction,the time of pharyngeal pain relief and tonsil recovery during the course of treatment,and the changes of laboratory indicators before and after treatment were compared between the two groups before treatment,3days and 5 days of treatment,and whether adverse events and adverse reactions occurred during the course of treatment were counted.SPSS26.0 statistical software was used to collect and analyze the data and draw conclusions.Results:1.Data comparability: There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender,age,TCM syndrome scores on admission and laboratory observation indicators on admission after statistical analysis(P>0.05),indicating that the data were comparable.2.TCM syndrome scores: the main syndromes,secondary syndromes and total scores of TCM syndromes decreased in both groups after treatment(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the efficacy of the treatment group was significant(P<0.05),and the symptom score decreased more significantly after 3 days of treatment than after 5days of treatment.3.Curative effect analysis: In terms of syndrome integral reduction rate,the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of both groups was 100%,the recovery rate of the treatment group was 16.67%,and there were no cured cases in the control group.Both groups were effective,and the treatment group was superior to the control group.4.Duration of pharyngeal pain relief and fever reduction: In terms of duration of pharyngeal pain relief,the average duration of pharyngeal pain relief in the treatment group was 1.09 days earlier than that in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.01).From the point of view of the average time of fever remission,the fever remission time in the two groups was 0.22 days earlier than that in the control group,and there was no statistical significance in the time of fever remission between the two groups(p>0.05).It is suggested that Qingyan mixture can effectively shorten the relief time of pharyngeal pain.5.Laboratory data: After treatment,the indexes of WBC,NE%,CRP,IL-6 and PCT in the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05),but the mean values of WBC,CRP,IL-6 and PCT in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group.After treatment,the inflammation in both groups was effectively controlled with similar efficacy,but it was considered that Qingyan mixture had certain effect on reducing laboratory infection indicators.6.Safety analysis: During the observation period,there were no significant changes in vital signs,oxygenation index,electrocardiogram,liver and kidney function(ALT,AST,UA/BUN/Cr),and no adverse reactions,side effects,or adverse events.Conclusion:1.The clinical effect of Qingyan mixture in the treatment of acute suppurative tonsillitis syndrome of lung and stomach heat is exact.The scores of various syndromsin the treatment group are significantly lower than that of the control group,and statistical analysis shows that the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group is better than that in the control group.2.Qingyan mixture can effectively shorten the relief time of pharyngeal pain in patients with lung and stomach heat filling syndrome,and also promote and shorten the time of fever reduction;3.Qingyan Mixture can effectively improve pharyngeal and systemic inflammatory reactions of patients.After the course of treatment,the mean values of WBC,CRP,IL-6and PCT in the treatment group are lower than those in the control group.Considering that Qingyan mixture can inhibit inflammatory reactions to some extent,and has positive significance in preventing the further aggravation and evolution of the disease,and has good clinical safety,it is worthy of further popularization and application.
