| Objective: This study is a cross-sectional study that focuses on the potential population of sarcopenia.By observing and summarizing the traditional Chinese medicine constitution,concurrent disease conditions,potential Western medicine diagnostic indicators for sarcopenia,gender,age,protein intake,carbon and water intake,and exercise status,the distribution characteristics of the traditional Chinese medicine constitution of the potential population of sarcopenia are analyzed,providing objective basis for the differentiation and treatment of sarcopenia with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: This study collected baseline data collected from the geriatric department of Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in the surrounding communities from January 2022 to January 2023.Through the screening of inclusion and exclusion criteria,282 potential populations with sarcopenia who met the requirements were analyzed.Collect information on possible Western medicine diagnostic indicators,traditional Chinese medicine constitution,comorbidities,gender,age,protein intake,carbon and water intake,and exercise related to sarcopenia,and conduct statistical analysis using SPSS25.0 statistical software.Apply descriptive statistics to analyze the distribution of Chinese medicine physique among people with myopenia,and apply nonparametric tests to analyze the differences in the five sit-ups,maximum grip strength,and SMI distribution among Chinese medicine physiques,The variance test was used to analyze the differences in the distribution of six-meter walking speed in various Chinese medicine constitutions,and Use chi square analysis or Fisher’s exact test to analyze the differences in comorbidities,gender,age,protein intake,carbon and water intake,and exercise distribution among different traditional Chinese medicine constitutions for sarcopenia.result:A total of 282 people with myopenia were included,including 156 women and126 men;There were 55 cases in prime,78 cases in prophase,87 cases in anaphase,and 62 cases in metaphase;There were 116 cases in the normal height high protein group,157 cases in the low protein group,and 9 cases in the high protein group;There were 74 cases of low carbon water intake,61 cases of normal carbon water intake,and 137 cases of high carbon water intake;There were 118 cases of low exercise,73 cases of normal exercise,and 91 cases of high exercise;There were 64 cases of yang deficiency,56 cases of blood stasis,45 cases of qi deficiency,39 cases of peace and tranquility,37 cases of qi stagnation,16 cases of yin deficiency,13 cases of phlegm dampness,and 12 cases of damp heat,0 cases of intrinsic quality.1.The distribution of possible TCM constitution in myopenia: Yang deficiency(22.70%),blood stasis(19.90%),Qi deficiency(16.00%),peace(13.80%),Qi stagnation(13.10%),Yin deficiency(5.70%),phlegm dampness(4.60%),and damp heat(4.30%),Unique quality accounting(0.00%);2.The five sit-ups for yang deficiency,blood stasis,qi deficiency,and qi stagnation were longer than the five sit-ups for calm and moderate qi,respectively,and the six meter pace for qi deficiency was slower than the six meter pace for calm and moderate qi;3.The proportion of male,Low protein diet,and low exercise volume in yang deficiency is high,and the higher the age,the higher the proportion;4.The proportion of women,high carbon water diet,and low exercise volume in blood stasis is high;5.The proportion of low protein diet,high carbon water diet,and high exercise volume in Qi deficiency is high,and the proportion is higher with age;6.Women,high carbon water diet,and low exercise volume account for a high proportion of Qi stagnation.Conclusion:1.The possible common biased physiques of myopenia are: yang deficiency,blood stasis,qi deficiency,and qi stagnation;2.The majority of people with yang deficiency are male,elderly,low protein diet,and low amount of exercise;3.Blood stasis is mostly female,high carbon water diet,and low exercise population;4.The majority of people with Qi deficiency are elderly,low protein diet,high carbon water diet,and high exercise load;5.The majority of people with Qi stagnation are women,high carbon water diet,and low exercise load. |
