Clinical Observation Of Wenfei Tongbi Decoction On Allergic Rhinitis Of Syndrome Of Insufficiency And Cold Due To Deficiency Of Lung Qi In Children

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Wenfei Tongbi decoction on children with allergic rhinitis of syndrome of insufficiency and cold due to deficiency of lung Qi,and to provide a new idea for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of children with allergic rhinitis.Methods:Eighty children with syndrome of insufficiency and cold due to deficiency of lung Qi allergic rhinitis who met the inclusion criteria from January 2022 to October 2022 in Zhangzhou City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into observation group and control group.The control group was treated with mometasone furoate nasal spray,and the observation group was treated with Wenfei Tongbi decoction on the basis of the control group.2 weeks as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment.The general conditions of the children in the two groups were collected,and the comprehensive nasal symptom scores,TCM evidence scores and life treatment scores of the children before,after 2 weeks and after 4 weeks of treatment were observed;the adverse drug reactions were monitored;the children were followed up 6 weeks after stopping the drug and the recurrence rate was observed.Statistical methods were used to evaluate the efficacy of the above data.Results:(1)Eighty children were included in this study,with a male to female ratio of 1.65:1.Three cases withdrew from the study,and 77 cases were finally observed.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of gender,age,disease duration,family history of allergy and the points of each index before treatment(P > 0.05).(2)Comprehensive nasal symptom scores: The comprehensive nasal symptom scores(nasal itching,sneezing,runny nose and nasal congestion)of the children in both groups improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of nasal congestion symptoms in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05),while there was no difference in the improvement of the remaining symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).(3)Chinese medicine main symptom scores: The Chinese medicine main symptom scores(nasal congestion,clear watery mucus,sneezing and nasal itching)improved in both groups compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of nasal congestion was better in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no difference in the improvement of other symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Points of TCM concurrent symptoms: The points of TCM concurrent symptoms(less qi and lazy speech,evil wind,spontaneous sweating and susceptibility to colds)of children in both groups improved compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05),and the improvement of evil wind and spontaneous sweating in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05),but there was no difference in the improvement of other symptoms between the two groups(P > 0.05).(5)Quality of life score: The quality of life scores of children in both groups improved compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05),and the improvement in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).(6)Clinical efficacy: After 4 weeks of treatment,the effective rate of the observation group was 92.31% and that of the control group was 76.32%(P < 0.05).(7)Adverse reactions: No adverse drug reactions occurred during the treatment period in both groups of children.(8)Recurrence rate: The recurrence rate was 2.70% in the observation group and 28%in the control group,and the recurrence rate in both groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusions:Based on the treatment of mometasone furoate nasal spray plus Wenfei Tongbi decoction,the clinical effect of Wenfei Tongbi decoction on children with allergic rhinitis of syndrome of insufficiency and cold due to deficiency of lung Qi is better than that of western medicine alone,and it can effectively improve the clinical symptoms,improve the quality of life and reduce the recurrence rate.
