Purpose:The traditional Chinese medicine Xingbi gel nasal drops were used to treat allergic rhinitis(AR)in children(wind evil encroach lung-type).The differences of miR-146 a expression levels and serum IL-10 and IL-4 expression levels were observed before and after treatment,so as to improve the pathogenesis of AR.To elucidate the mechanism of Xingbi gel nasal drops in the treatment of children AR(wind evil encroach lung-type)in order to improve the clinical effect.Methods:A total of 42 children with AR were selected from the outpatient depart ment and ward of the Affiliated People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to December 2022.They were divided into Xingbi gel group(Group A)and Mometasone furoate group(group B)by random number table method,and 20 healthy children were selected from the physical examination center as healthy control group(group C).The three groups should be comparable in gender,age and disease course distribution by homogeneity test.Group A was treated with topical Chinese medicine Xingbi gel nasal drops;Group B was treated with topical Mometason e furoate nasal spray(NASONEX)for 4 weeks;The expression levels of serum IL-4,IL-10 and blood miR-146 a were determined before and 4 weeks after treatment.Before trea tment and 4 weeks after treatment,symptoms and signs of group A and group B were quantified grading and efficacy evaluation score,respectively.The collected data were measured.The data conforming to normal distribution were expressed as mean±standard deviation(x±s),while the data not conforming to normal distribution were expressed as median and quad(M(P25,P75)).SPSS27.0 was used for soft statistical analysis.Results:1.Before treatment,there were no significant differences in gender and age composition between groups A and B(P>0.05).Serum IL-4 concentration in groups A and B was higher than that in group C(P<0.05),while serum IL-10 and blood miR-146 a concentration in groups A and B were lower than that in group C(P<0.05).2.After 4 weeks of treatment,serum IL-4 concentration in group A and group B was significantly decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),while serum IL-10 and blood miR-146 a concentration were significantly increased(P<0.05);There was no significant difference between group A and group B(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in the improvement of symptoms and signs between group A and group B(P>0.05).Conclusions:The results of this study showed that the blood miR-146 a and serum IL-10 levels were decreased,serum IL-4 levels were increased,and Th1/Th2 imbalance existed in children with AR.Xingbi gel nasal drops may play a role in the treatment of AR in children by regulating miR-146 a,inducing the secretion of cytokine IL-10,inhibiting the polarization of TH2 cells,reducing the secretion of IL-4,and then correcting the immune imbalance of Th1/Th2.Xingbi gel nasal drops could significantly improve the symptoms and signs of children with AR,and improve the quality of life of children with AR,and there was no significant difference in the efficacy compared with western medicine control group(P>0.05). |
