Objective:By observing the difference of miR-135 a,IL-4 and IL-33 expression levels before and after the treatment of children’s allergic rhinitis(AR)with Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops, this topic aims to improve the pathogenesis of AR,clarify the mechanism of Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops in treating children’s AR,and improve the clinical efficacy. Methods:From March 2022 to December 2022,42 children with AR were selected from the outpatient and ward of the People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They were randomly divided into a traditional Chinese medicine treatment group(Group A)and a western medicine treatment group(Group B),with 21 cases each.At the same time,20 healthy children were selected from the physical examination center as a healthy control group(Group C).The three groups should be comparable in terms of gender, age, and course of disease distribution through homogeneity testing.Group A was treated with topical Chinese medicine Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops;Group B was treated with topical Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray(NASONEX)for 4 weeks; The expression levels of miR-135 a in blood and IL-4and IL-33 in serum were measured before and after 4 weeks of treatment in each group.Quantitative grading of symptoms and signs and efficacy evaluation scores were performed before and after 4 weeks of treatment in groups A and B.The collected data were measured, and data that conformed to the normal distribution were expressed as mean±standard deviation((?)±s).Data that did not conform to the normal distribution were expressed as median and quartile(M(P25,P75)),and were analyzed using SPSS27.0 statistical soft statistics.Results:1.Before treatment, there was no significant difference between groups A and B in terms of gender and age composition(P>0.05),blood miR-135 a concentration in groups A and B was lower than that in group C(P<0.05),and serum IL-4 and IL-33 concentrations were higher than those in group C(P<0.05).2.After 4 weeks of treatment, blood miR-135 a concentration in groups A and B increased significantly(P<0.05)The serum IL-4 and IL-33 concentrations were significantly lower compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);while there was no significant difference between groups A and B(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in the quantitative grading scores of symptoms and signs between groups A and B(P>0.05).Conclusion:Studies have shown that children with AR have decreased blood miR-135 a,increased serum IL-4 and IL-33 levels, and a Th1/Th2 imbalance. The mechanism of action of Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops in childhood AR may be to inhibit Th2 cell polarization and mast cell activation through high expression of miR-135 a,thus reducing IL-4 and IL-33,and then correcting Th1/Th2 immune imbalance, and achieving the therapeutic purpose and improving the quality of life of children.Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops can further improve the symptoms and signs of children with AR,and its efficacy is not significantly different compared with the western medicine treatment group. |
