| Objective:Allergic Rhinitis(AR)caused by wind-evil invading lung was treated with Chinese herbal medicine Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops,and the levels of miR-155,IL-4,and IFN-γ were observed before and after treatment.To further improve the pathogenesis of AR,explore the therapeutic target of Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops in children with AR(Wind evil encroach lung-type)in order to improve the clinical effect.Methods:From March 2022 to December 2022,42 AR children in outpatient and ward wards of People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and randomly divided into two groups:Chinese medicine treatment groups(group A)and western medicine treatment group(group B).At the same time,20 healthy children were selected from the physical examination center as the healthy control group(group C).The three groups should be comparable in terms of gender,age,and course of disease distribution through homogeneity testing.Group A was treated with Chinese herbal medicine Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops were applied externally.Group B was treated with topical Mometasone Furose Nasal Spray(Nasonex)for 4 weeks;Serum IL-4,IFN-γ,and miR-155 concentrations were measured before and after treatment in each group.A and B groups were quantified by symptom and sign and curative effect before and 4 weeks after treatment.The collected data were measured,and data that conformed to the normal distribution were expressed as mean±standard deviation((?)±s),and the data that did not conform to the normal distribution were expressed as median and quartile(M(P25,P75)),with SPSS27.0 statistical software analysis.Results:1.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in sex and age composition between the A and B groups(P>0.05).Serum levels of IL-4 and miR-155 in groups A and B were higher than those in group C(P<0.05),while the levels of IFN-γ were lower than those in group C(P<0.05).2.After 4 weeks of treatment,compared with before treatment,the concentrations of serum IL-4 and miR-155 in the A and B groups were significantly reduced(P<0.05),while the concentrations of serum IFN-γ were significantly increased;there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05),there was no significant difference in the improvement of symptoms and signs between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The results of this study indicate that blood levels of IL-4 and miR-155 are elevated,while the levels of IFN-γ are decreased in children with AR,and Th1/Th2 imbalances are present.Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops for children AR may be achieved by reducing the expression of IL-4 and miR-155,increasing the expression of IFN-γ,correcting the Th1/Th2 imbalance,reducing the release of inflammatory mediators in the treatment of children with AR.Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops can obviously improve the symptoms and signs of children with AR,and improve the quality of life of children.The efficacy is not significantly different from that of western medicine treatment group. |
