| Objective: To understand the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes in the community residents, analyze the relationship between influencing factors such as behavioral lifestyle and hypertension and diabetes, and provide basic data for the formulation and evaluation of health policies and interventions related to hypertension and diabetes. Methods: By using stratified group sampling and self-drafted questionnaire as the survey tool,a questionnaire survey and physical measurement were conducted on 1160 residents in Shenhe District,Shenyang city, using descriptive analysis,chi-square test, and multifactor Logistic regression to analyze behavior, lifestyle and knowledge. Results: The prevalence of hypertension was 21.2%,and that of diabetes was 11.6%;the prevalence of hypertension(22.4%)and diabetes(13.8%)were higher than those of women,20.0% and 9.6%,respectively.In the age group of 60 years and above(46.4%),primary school education or below(45.5%),other marital status(widowed,divorce,etc.)(53.7%),retired people(45.4%),obesity(34.4%),central obesity(33.9%),smoking cessation(48.6%),daily drinking(45.8%),uncontrolled salt behavior(23.1%),no high intensity exercise(22.5%)had a relatively high prevalence of hypertension((49)<0.05);Male(13.8%),age group 60 or above(27.0%),primary education or below(22.7%),other marital status(widowed divorce,etc.)(20.4%),low family income(23.2%),retired(28.0%),overweight(17.6%),central obesity(19.8%),smoking cessation(40.5%),uncontrolled salt(13.8%),uncontrolled oil(14.4%),no intensive exercise(12.4%),and failed cognition of chronic diseases(13.6%)The population had a relatively high prevalence of diabetes mellitus((49)<0.05);Older older and less educated,The higher the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus,In addition, the lower the household income,The lower the prevalence of diabetes mellitus. The results of the multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that,The factors influencing hypertension are age, health status and body mass index; In the age group of 40 years and above((49)<0.05,OR=6.174,95%CI=2.118~17.994),age group of 50 years and above((49)<0.05,OR=9.231,95%CI=3.156~27.002),age group of 60 years and above((49)<0.05,OR=13.855,95%CI=4.676~41.047)relative to the age group of 18 years and above,BMI overweight((49)<0.05,OR=1.912,95%CI=1.322~2.766),body mass index obesity((49)<0.05,OR=2.597,95%CI=1.609~4.192)relative to the normal body mass index,A higher risk of developing hypertension. The influencing factors for diabetes were central obesity, smoking status, and chronic disease knowledge;central obesity((49)<0.05,OR=2.115,95%CI=1.327~3.371)relative to noncentral obesity,smoking((49)<0.05,OR=3.672,95%CI=1.709~7.891),higher risk of diabetes;chronic disease knowledge((49)<0.05,OR=0.607,95%CI=0.414~0.890)had a lower risk of developing diabetes relative to failing cognitive scores. Conclusion: The prevalence of hypertension was 21.2%,the prevalence of diabetes was11.6%,more in men than women;nearly 1 / 2 of overweight or obese BMI and central obesity should be the focus of prevention and control of the next stage;age,BMI overweight and obesity were risk factors for hypertension, central obesity and smoking are risk factors for diabetes, and high knowledge of chronic diseases is the protective factor of diabetes. |
