Comparison Of PFNA And InterTan In The Treatment Of Femoral Intertrochanteric Fracture

Objective: This study aims to compare the efficacy of proximal femoral anti rotation intramedullary nail(PFNA)and proximal femoral interlocking intramedullary nail(Inter Tan)in the treatment of A2 type femoral intertrochanteric fractures,providing reference for clinical treatment.Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 56 cases of complete femoral intertrochanteric fractures from September 2020 to January 2022,including 30 cases in the PFNA group and 26 cases in the Inter Tan group.The surgical time,surgical bleeding,incidence of early postoperative complications,fracture healing,and Harris hip joint function score at 1 year after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results: The follow-up time was one year.The wounds in the operation area healed well without infection.Two cases in the PFNA group had pulmonary infection,and one case in the Inter Tan group had intramuscular vein thrombosis after operation.No internal fixation failure,periprosthetic fracture,and screw removal were found during the follow-up after operation.In the statistics of cervical trunk angle and TAD angle between the two groups,P>0.05,no significant difference was found.The surgical duration in the Inter Tan group was significantly longer than that in the PFNA group,and there was no significant difference in hemoglobin changes before and after surgery(P>0.05).The changes in cervical trunk angle and apex distance were not significant in the third month after surgery.There was no significant difference in fracture healing between the two groups of internal fixation devices,and there was no statistically significant difference in Harris scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The surgical time in the Inter Tan group was significantly longer than that in the PFNA group(P<0.05),indicating statistical significance.Conclusion: Both the PFNA group and Inter Tan group have good fixation effects,and both internal fixation devices can play a key role in fracture stability and healing.Patients can move early and recover limb function as soon as possible.The PFNA group has a shorter surgical time and is more advantageous in patients with poor treatment conditions.
