Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture at the acupoint of Shaoyin Heart Meridian on post-stroke mild cognitive impairment,in order to provide a new treatment method for post-stroke mild cognitive impairment,ameliorate the patients’ cognitive levels and life ability.Methods:1.68 patients with post-stroke mild cognitive impairment were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,34 in each group.2.Both groups were treated with basic internal medical treatment,the characteristic acupuncture treatment related to stroke in our department and the medical treatment.The control group was treated with common acupuncture therapy(Baihui,Shenteng,Yintang,Taixi,Xuanzhong and Sishencong).The patients were treated twice one day for 6 consecutive days and one day off each week for a total of 6 weeks.The treatment group was treated with common acupuncture and Shaoyin Heart Meridian acupoint therapy(both side of Shenmen and Tongli twice a day,Shaochong once a day).The patients were treated for 6 consecutive days and one day off each week for a total of 6 weeks.3.Before and after treatment,Montreal Cognitive Function Assessment(Mo CA),Mini-mental State Examination(MMSE),Activity of Daily Living(ADL)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)were used to assess the efficacy of the treatment group and the control group.Results:During the treatment,1 patient in the control group dropped out because of personal affair.Finally,33 patients in the control group and 34 patients in the treatment group complete the trial.A total of 67 patients were included in the statistical analysis.1.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in age,sex,course of disease and educational level(P>0.05);and no statistical difference between the two groups in Mo CA score,MMSE score,ADL score and HAMD score before treatment(P>0.05);2.After treatment,the Mo CA score,MMSE score,ADL score and HAMD score were improved in both groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);3.After treatment,the improvement of Mo CA score,MMSE score,ADL score and HAMD score in the treatment group was better than those in the control group(P<0.01,P<0.05,P<0.05,P<0.01);4.The total effective rate of PSMCI was 82.35% in the treatment group and 70.00% in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture at the acupoint of Shaoyin Heart Meridian and common acupuncture therapy are both effective in the treatment of PSMCI;2.Acupuncture at the acupoint of Shaoyin Heart Meridian is more effective than the common acupuncture therapy in improving the cognitive level and living ability of PSMCI patients;3.Acupuncture at the acupoint of Shaoyin Heart Meridian can improve the depression state of PSMCI patients.
