Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Chronic Urticaria(Damp-Heat Evidence In The Stomach And Intestines) With Quanyin Decoction

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of QuanYin Decoction in the treatment of chronic urticaria(gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome).Method:In this research,68 patients who attended the outpatient clinic,Department of Dermatology of the Second Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Hanan Branch from Nov 2021 to Feb 2023 were screened according to the diagnostic criteria of chronic urticaria(gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome)and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 34 patients in each group.The treatment group was given the formula QuanYin Decoction orally,while the control group was given loratadine tablets,and the basic treatment was topical application of compound cypress liquid application,and both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The degree of pruritus,the number,size,edema and duration of the wind masses,the total symptom score and the total TCM syndrome score were recorded before,2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment respectively,and SPSS25.0 statistical software was used to organize the data and analyze and compare the differences between the two groups.Outcome:1.The individual symptom scores,total symptom scores and total TCM symptom scores of patients in both groups before treatment were comparable(P>0.05).2.After 2 weeks of treatment,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant.In the treatment group,there was a difference in the degree of itching,number of wind masses,size of wind masses,degree of edema of wind masses,duration of wind masses,total symptom score and total TCM symptom score compared with each other(P<0.05).In the control group,except for the degree and duration of edema of the wind masses,all other points were different from those before treatment(P<0.05).3.After 4 weeks of treatment,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant.In the treatment group,there was a difference in itchiness,number of wind masses,size of wind masses,edema of wind masses,duration of wind masses,total symptom score and total TCM symptom score when compared(P<0.05).In the control group,there was a difference in all the points except for the size of the wind masses compared with 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).4.The aggregate effective efficiency of the treatment group was 90.91%whereas the control group was 71.88%.The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion:1.QuanYin Decoction is effective in treating chronic urticaria(gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome).2.QuanYin Decoction is more effective than loratadine tablets in the treatment of chronic urticaria(gastrointestinal damp-heat syndrome).
