Effects Of Ziqian Capsule On The Th17,CD8~+T Cells And Their Homeostasis In Patients With Chronic Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia

Objective:By observing the clinical efficacy of Ziqian capsule in the treatment of chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia(CITP)in patients with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome,and recording changes in the percentages of Th17 cells and CD8~+T cells in peripheral blood,the researchers made further exploration on the effect of Ziqian capsule on T lymphocyte subsets immune homeostasis,so as to optimize the diagnosis and treatment program under Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)for patients with CITP,in the hope of improving the quality of life of CITP patients.Methods:A total of 60 out-patients suffering from CITP with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome were selected from the Department of Hematology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine between January 2022 and October 2022.The patients were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group,with 30 patients in each group.The treatment group was given Ziqian capsule,and the control group was given rise-platelet capsule.The observation period lasted for three months.The changes of platelet count and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were recorded in details,and the differences in clinical efficacy between the two groups were observed through comparative analysis.Flow cytometry(FCM)was used to test the percentages of Th17 cells and CD8~+T cells in the peripheral blood of all the patients before and after their treatment,and the test results of the two groups were also compared respectively with the normal group,which is made up of 21healthy volunteers.Results:1.Measured by the Western medical standards,the overall effective rate(ORR)of the treatment group was 76.7%,and that of the control group was 55.2%.The curative effect of the control group was lower than that of the treatment group(P<0.05).2.Under the TCM standards,the ORR was86.7%for the treatment group,and 72.4%for the control group.The curative effect of the control group was lower than that of the treatment group(P<0.05).3.Comparison results of the percentages of Th17 cells and CD8~+T cells in peripheral blood of the two groups showed that the percentages of Th17cells and CD8~+T cells in the patients before their treatment were higher than that in the normal group;while those percentages decreased significantly(P<0.05)after treatment in both treatment and control groups,but still higher than that in the normal group,with a better result for the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Ziqian capsule present a definite clinical effect in the treatment of CITP with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome.It can not only help rise the platelet count of patients,but also reduce the clinical discomfort symptoms and effectively improve patients’quality of life.2.The percentages of Th17 cells and CD8~+T cells in peripheral blood of patients with CITP with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome were significantly higher than that of healthy people,and those percentages were significantly decreased after Ziqian capsule treatment.3.Ziqian capsule can help reduce the percentage of Th17cells and CD8~+T cells in patients with CITP with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome,and adjust the immune imbalance caused by cell polarization to maintain immune homeostasis,so as to achieve a better treatment effect.
