Objective:The purpose of this study was to understand the current situation of self-perceived aging in senile stroke patients and analyze the influencing factors of self-perceived aging in senile stroke patients. To provide reference for the formulation of intervention strategies to delay self-perceived aging in senile stroke patients,so as to improve the quality of life of patients. Methods:Apply a cross-sectional study. From January to June 2022,elderly stroke patients in the Department of Neurology of a Grade-A hospital in Hebei Province were conveniently selected as research objects. The subjects were investigated using the general Information Questionnaire, the simplified Self-perceived Aging Scale(B-APQ),the Barthel Index Rating Scale, the simplified Geriatrician Depression Scale(GDS-15)and the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS).Data were checked by two people and recorded into Excel, and SPSS23.0 software was used for data analysis.Descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression were used to analyze self-perceived aging status and its influencing factors in elderly stroke patients. Results:A total of 372 elderly stroke patients were investigated in this study, and 355 effective questionnaires were collected, with effective recovery rate of 95.43%.The statistical analysis of 355 subjects showed the following results:1 The self-perceived aging score of senile stroke patients was(52.85±9.29)points.The scores of each dimension were negative control and outcome(18.15±3.28)points respectively.Positive results(8.80±2.30);Chronic time(9.28±2.53)minutes;Positive control(8.96±2.25)points;Affective representation(7.66±2.24)scores.2 The total score of daily living ability of elderly stroke patients was(73.68±21.43)points.47 patients(13.23%)were heavily dependent;57 patients(16.05%)were moderately dependent;196 patients(55.21%)were mildly dependent;55 patients(15.49%)took care of themselves completely.3 The total score of depression in senile stroke patients was(5.83±2.66).There were 262 patients(73.81%)without depression; There were 93 patients(26.19%)with depressive symptoms.4 The total score of social support in senile stroke patients was(35.02±9.75).The score of each dimension: objective support(9.89±4.78);Subjective support(17.74±5.05);Support availability(7.39±2.73)points.45 patients(12.68%)had low level of social support;246 patients(69.30%)had moderate level of social support;64 patients(18.02%)had high level of social support.5 The results of single factor analysis showed that: Gender(t=-3.572,P<0.001),age(F=27.562,P<0.001),educational level(F=13.240,P<0.001),personality characteristics(F=4.205,P=0.016),daily leisure activities(F=6.090,P=0.003),smoking(t=2.560,P=0.011),smartphone use(t=-6.299,P<0.001),first onset(t=-2.873,P=0.005),duration of illness(F=13.177,P<0.001),occupation type(F=6.392,P=0.002),and health self-assessment(F=24.519,P<0.001)was associated with self-perceived aging level, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6 Pearson correlation analysis showed that self-perceived aging was positively correlated with depression, and negatively correlated with daily living ability and social support.7 Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, education level, duration of illness, smartphone use, daily leisure activities,self-assessment of health, daily living ability, depression and social support were independent factors influencing self-perceived aging in senile stroke patients(P<0.05).Conclusions:1 The self-perceived aging of elderly stroke patients is in a relatively negative state. The medical and health industry should attach great importance to the self-perceived aging of elderly stroke patients and take effective measures to delay the aging process and improve the quality of life of patients.2 Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, education level, duration of illness, smartphone use, daily leisure activities,self-assessment of health, daily living ability, depression and social support were independent factors influencing self-perceived aging in elderly stroke patients. The medical and health industry should pay attention to elderly stroke patients with low education, long duration of illness,no use of smart phones, less leisure activities, poor health self-rating,weak life ability, depression tendency and low social support, and take targeted measures to promote elderly stroke patients to actively face aging. |
