Objective:1.Fix the market for Atractylodes Rhizome phenomenon of chaotic sources,ongoing fake goods,and loss of high-quality sources.Describe Atractylodes lancea’s quality advantages.additional intelligent use of Atractylodes Rhizome;2.Describe the chemical makeup of the "frost" produced by Atractylodes lancea,investigate the causes of the phenomenon,and discuss the significance of the "frost" in terms of science.Methods:1.Create a systematic,accurate,and workable identification method for Atractylodes Rhizome and its readily interchangeable products in the market(including the use of a characteristic atlas,a microscope,and TLC);2.Create a system for assessing the quality of Atractylodes Rhizome:(1)Create a new method for evaluating quality that can take into account the benefits of Atractylodes lancea in terms of quality,based on the volatile components in the Atractylodes Rhizome.(2)Examine the composition of the non-volatile Atractylodes Rhizome components.Create a new framework for the overall assessment and quality assurance of Atractylodes Rhizome;3.Develop a GC-Q-TOF/MS method to analyze the chemical makeup of volatile components,volatile oil,and the "frost" of Atractylodes lancea volatile oil in order to conduct research on the frost of this plant.Results:1.To distinguish between authentic Atractylodes Rhizome and its prevalent imposter in the market,four identification techniques have been developed;2.A technique for identifying Atractylodes Rhizome was developed using GC technology.Hinesol,β-eudesmol,and atractylodin were measured as constituents.It was shown that Atractylodes lancea had much higher total hinesol and β-eudesmol content than Atractylodes chinensis,and that Atractylodes chinensis had a higher fraction of atractylodin content.Hinesol and β-eudesmol were identified through chemometric research as the two main distinguishing factors between the two sources of Atractylodes Rhizome.3.The monosaccharide and disaccharide content determination method as well as the fingerprint of free small molecular sugars in Atractylodes Rhizome were established.Although there was some correlation between the two sources of Atractylodes Rhizome,the amounts of fructose,glucose,and sucrose varied.In contrast to Atractylodes lancea,which normally includes high quantities of sucrose,Atractylodes chinensis typically has high levels of fructose and glucose.Fructose is the primary reason that the two Atractylodes Rhizome sources differ from one another.4.Using HPLC-CAD,a quantitative method for identifying atractyloside A in Atractylodes Rhizome was created.The two main sources of Atractylodes Rhizome were found to have identical levels of atractyloside A,which ranged from 0.20 to 0.51 mg per gram.5.Both sources of Atractylodes Rhizome have a high volatile oil concentration,although Atractylodes lancea has a higher volatile oil content than Atractylodes chinensis.6.Atractylodes Rhizome GC-Q-TOF/MS technique is established.Hinesol andβ-eudesmol were discovered to be the primary ingredients in the "frost" of Atractylodes lancea.It was discovered by chemometric research that these two components were the primary factors behind the variations in volatile components,volatile oils,and the frosting phenomenon of Atractylodes Rhizome from various sources.Conclusion:It is feasible to distinguish between real and false Atractylodes Rhizome as well as the two original components of the real Atractylodes Rhizome using features,microscopy,thin layer chromatography,and characteristic spectra;It was discovered that the main components of Atractylodes lancea "frost" are hinesol and β-eudesmol,and the precipitation of frost crystals is caused by the relatively high proportion of hinesol and β-eudesmol in the volatile oil.The established quality evaluation method can improve the current deficiencies in quality control of Atractylodes Rhizome and effectively control the quality of Atractylodes lancea and Atractylodes Chinese.It has been made clear that "frost rising" Atractylodes Rhizomes,or Atractylodes Rhizomes with higher concentrations of hinesol and β-eudesmol,have better quality.
