Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Chronic Knee Synovitis (Phlegm-Fluid Type) With Self-Prepared Lishui Xiaotuo Decoction

Objective: To clarify the efficacy and safety of self-derived wet swelling decoction in the treatment of patients with chronic synovitis(Knee Joint Synovitis,KS),and discuss the internal mechanism,so as to provide reference for further application of wet swelling decoction in clinical practice.Methods: 60 patients eligible for this study were divided into two groups with 30 patients in each group by random number table method.Both groups received general treatment at the same time,The treatment group received oral Chinese medicine wet swelling soup,and the control group received oral western medicine celecoxib + esaesin sodium tablets for 4 weeks.VAS scores,edema scores,clinical symptoms and signs scores,modified WOMAC scores,and toxic and side effects were assessed and compared between the two groups.Results: The variations in the indexes prior to treatment were comparable and not statistically significant(P>0.05).The measures in both groups were significant(P>0.05)after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of medication,showing that both treatment strategies were successful.It demonstrated that Western medicine was quickly effective in the control group,and Chinese medicine had a better early analgesic effect in the experimental group.However,after 4 weeks of treatment,there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of total clinical symptoms and signs score,swelling score,and WOMAC score,indicating that the experimental group’s outcomes were superior to those of the control group,and there were no statistically significant differences in the prevalence of harmful side effects between the two groups after 4weeks of treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion: The soup can effectively relieve the symptoms and signs of chronic synovitis(sputum flow and injection syndrome),improve the joint function of patients,and is better than the control group in improving clinical edema,reducing symptoms and signs and WOMAC score,with few adverse reactions and positive efficacy,which deserves further discovery and expansion.
