Xuanbi Soup Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis Joint With Synovitis Clinical Observation

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effection of Xuanbi soup in treating osteoarthritis of knee joint with synovitis,make objective evaluation of the treatment of Xuanbi soup for knee joint synovitis(damp heat blockage type),and explore the clinical application of the treatment.Methods: 60 patients meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group and control group.The treatment group was treated with Xuanbi soup,and control group were treated with oral Huamoyan granule,8 weeks for a course.Two groups were treated with drug treatment and the quadriceps muscle strength exercise at the same time.Record the scores of symptoms and signs,biochemical indicators,adverse reactions and complications of the treatment for 4weeks and 8 weeks.According to the guiding principle of clinical research on new drugs,the symptoms and signs,biochemical indicators,WOMAC total score and overall function of two groups were compared and analyzed statistically by SPSS17.0.Results: WOMAC total score for 4 and 8 weeks were significantly decreased,and no significant intergroup difference was showed(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the effective rate of treatment group was 93.33%,control rate was 16.70%,the effective rate of control group was 93.33%,control rate was 20%,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the effective rate of treatment group was 93.33%,control rate was 80%,the effective rate of control group was 96.67%,control rate was 76.66%,two groups have no significant difference(P>0.05).Comprehensive comparasions of two groups shows,both of the drugs have significant curative effection on osteoarthritis of the knee with synovitis.The WOMAC score : The degrees of pain,stiffness,functional activity of two groups for 4 weeks and 8 weeks were significantly improved compared with those before treatment and had significant difference(P < 0.05);The pain and functional activity of the treatment for 4 weeks shows significant difference(P < 0.05)compared with those of the treatment for 8 weeks,and stiffness shows no significantdifference(P > 0.05);the comprasion of two groups shows no significant difference(P > 0.05)in the scores of pain,stiffness and functional activity.The degrees of swelling: Swelling degree were significantly reduced(P < 0.05)and has significant difference in both groups for 4 weeks,8 weeks,than before treatment;the intergroup comprasion has significant difference(P < 0.05)in both groups for 4 weeks,8 weeks,and intragroupe no significant difference(P > 0.05).Therefore both of the two drugs can significantly relieve pain,relieve swelling and knee stiffness and improve functional activities.Conclusion: Xuanbi Decoction and Huamoyan granule in the treatment for knee osteoarthritis associated with synovitis(damp heat blockage type)have good curative effection,effectively control knee joint swelling,relief pain and stiffness,and improve the function of knee joint activities and the quality of life.It is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
