Suicide has become more common in recent years, particularly among youth groups.Suicide prevention is now a global concern.Studies have shown that including risk factors and protective factors in the assessment,as well as suicide intervention measures, can significantly improve the suicide prevention and psychological resilience of crisis individuals. The common crisis intervention is the evaluation and intervention separately, this study will evaluate the combination of intervention at the same time.we will develop a suicide risk assessment scale that includes risk factors and protective factors and explore the effectiveness of the single-session suicide crisis intervention that both assessed risk and captured protective factors, that is,during the time of only one consultation. To construct the single-session suicide crisis intervention model which integrates suicide assessment and intervention and verify its feasibility. The mixed method of quantitative and qualitative integration is used in this study. In the first study,we used item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and characteristic curve for item analysis and construction. In the second study,we used a case study to investigate the effect of the single-session suicide crisis intervention model and its therapeutic connotation by analyzing the generic content of the materials. The research process is as follows:this article uses the literature review to compile a suicide question bank with 83 questions;a two-stage scale-making process is adopted, with preliminary exploration and formal research.Taking 798 college students as a sample, using SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0 as data analysis,a formal scale of 30 items was generated. The scale included four factors, which were named suicide behavior, depression, hopelessness, the reason to live, and hope irrigation.Cronbach’s α of the total scale and subscale ranged from 0.853 to 0.945,and the criterion validity was 0.771(p < 0.01).In addition, the critical value of the scale was 120 by ROC curve analysis. When the total score was less than 120,it indicated suicide risk. The value of suicide risk could be subdivided into mild, moderate, and severe risks. In the second study, the single-session suicide crisis intervention model was introduced to high-risk suicide crises. This model evaluated the risk and protective factors and effectively reduced the risk of suicide in crisis cases. The interventional effects involved five levels of cognition, emotion, behavior, relationship, etc. The conclusions are as follows:(1)The suicide risk assessment scale is reliable, valid, and applicable and can be used to assess the suicide risk of the high-risk population.(2)The single-session suicide crisis intervention model is an effective suicide intervention mechanism. It can effectively reduce the risk of suicide and positively impact cognition, emotions, behavior, and relationship. This model can be a crisis intervention option for clinical workers and provide a reference for clinical suicide intervention measures.(3)The integrated model of the single-session suicide risk assessment and intervention, which incorporates suicide assessment and intervention,is an effective suicide risk intervention model and can increase the potential for saving lives.
