Suicide is the most prominent mental health problem among college students.It is the most serious and most influential public event in colleges and universities,and the first reason for the abnormal death of college students.Roommates,classmates and other peers as the secondary protection for psychological crisis prevention are the strong social support and spiritual strength of college students.They play a key role in solving psychological problems and encouraging suicide risk to seek professional help.However,in the face of college students with suicide risk,there are many factors that will affect their peers’willingness to suicide intervention.In this study,352 freshmen from two universities in Wuhan were selected as research subjects.From the perspective of enhancing college students’willingness to suicide intervention,self-edited suicide cases with different results were used as experimental materials.The first study initially explored the impact of suicide cases with different results on suicidal attitudes,perceived behavioral control,and willingness to suicide intervention of college students.And the second study focused on the mediating role of suicidal attitudes and perceived behavioral control between suicide cases with different results and willingness to suicide intervention.The research results are as follows:(1)Suicide cases with different results have no significant effect on college students’attitude towards suicide,that is,there is no significant difference in attitude towards suicide between active group,negative group and control group.(2)Suicide cases with different results had significant effects on the difficulty of preventing suicide,perceived behavioral control,and willingness to suicide intervention.The scores of active group on the difficulty of preventing suicide,perceived behavioral control,and willingness to suicide intervention were significantly higher than those of negative and control groups.(3)There is a significant correlation between suicide attitude,the difficulty of preventing suicide,perceptual behavior control and willingness to suicide intervention.(4)The difficulty of preventing suicide and perceived behavioral control play chain intermediary roles between suicide cases with different results and willingness to suicide intervention. |
