In recent years,as the pace of society accelerates and social pressure increases, the prevalence of depression and other mental illnesses is high, the treatment rate is low and the danger is great, and the population of sufferers is getting younger and younger. It is imperative that the treatment rate for depression is increased and that the pressure on depressed people to survive is alleviated. The state of health in society is not only a medical topic, but is also becoming increasingly social in its manifestations. Therefore, the study of health should not be limited to the medical field, but should gradually be extended to the social sciences. The Real Stories Project is the first platform for real stories in China and has a wide reach.Based on 19 representative samples from the Real Stories Project, this paper analyses narrative voice, narrative grammar, narrative discourse and narrative reception in non-fiction reports on depression from a narratological perspective, using case study and textual analysis methods. In the depression-related non-fiction stories, the identity of the narrator changes flexibly and the narrative perspective is diversified, not being bound to a certain perspective or subject, and can be used flexibly according to the needs of the text;the master themes in the narrative grammar are chosen from typical events in people’s past daily lives, and the themes focus on the individual fate of small people, and the vivid plot depiction can evoke empathy in readers, which not only enriches the artistic expression and The use of narrative time in the narrative discourse makes the storyline more tumultuous and can enhance the narrative effect of the report in multiple summaries and repetitions, breaking through the single narrative mode, the narrative rhetoric constructs a common imagination space, and the facts are presented realistically and vividly;from the analysis of narrative acceptance,we can see that the narrative acceptance of non-fiction reports on depression The analysis of narrative acceptance reveals that it is a process of multiple interpretations, which does not depend on the intentions of the narrator, and the attitude of narrative acceptance also reveals that there are still some stereotypes about depression, which will be a key issue to pay attention to in future studies. The author discusses the problems and limitations of narrative activities in depression non-fiction reporting in the new contemporary context, from two dimensions: introspection and suggestions, and from external and internal factors. As a whole,depression-related non-fiction reporting in China suffers from the shortcomings of over-seeking the twists and turns of events, lack of creative awareness, being driven by the will of capital, and insufficient professionalism. In this paper, practical suggestions are put forward to address these shortcomings, such as enhancing social responsibility, building realistic narrative scenarios and assuming a "social support" role,in order to add to the research on depression-related non-fiction reporting.
