Objective To understand the current situation of the health education network and staff team in Shenzhen during the epidemic of COVID-19,to summarize the value of health education work in the prevention and control of the epidemic of COVID-19 and the problems that have arisen, and to make suggestions for the development of the health education network and staff team in Shenzhen. Methods and content Interview method and Questionnaire method. To study the current status of the health education network in Shenzhen, including the organization, staffing, funding policy support, health education resources and capacities, and to investigate the work of health education institutions in response to the epidemic of COVID-19.To study the basic situation of health education staff in Shenzhen under the epidemic of COVID-19,their work status, job satisfaction, lifestyle behaviors, health status and their main influencing factors.Result 1.The network of health education institutions is inadequate, with 74.0% of institutions having health education sections or departments. The institutions with the largest numbe of health education staff were hospitals, with an average of 14.13 health education staff per hospital;however, the health education staff in hospitals were mainly part-time health education staff, accounting for 85.7%.76.20% of health educators had no staffing,46.85% had no title,39.84% were full-time,and only 7.93% had the highest degree in health education, with the median annual gross income lying between ¥60,000 and ¥89,000.There is a disproportionate share of low education,non-professionalism and no job title, and the professional strength is weak.Only 10.1% of health education staff have more than 90% of the total workload, and the leadership attaches insufficient importance to it.Health education institutions lack equipment and resources, with 43%,35%,26%and 36% of institutions without cameras, projectors, video screens and activity rooms respectively, and 27% of institutions without any health education dissemination platform;63% of institutions are poorly funded, with insufficient funding for health education and large disparities between institutions.2.The total working hours of health education staff have been increasing since the epidemic, with 75.28% of health education network staff working more than the national legal working hours per day and 4.55% working an average of 12 hours or more per day.85.49% of the staff had poor behavior patterns of sitting or standing, and overall job satisfaction was not high. The mean workload scale score was 16.62 before the New Coronation epidemic, increased to 17.79 during the epidemic of COVID-19 and remained high at 17.6 after the epidemic of COVID-19 became normalized.3.The prevalence of chronic diseases among health educators was 19.03%,and the prevalence of bad behaviors and lifestyles was not exemplary.68.27% of health educators could not guarantee to participate in physical exercise three times a week or more on average, the primary reason being that they were "too busy to work",and 23.05% of health educators could not guarantee to eat breakfast every day.In the past month,25.65% of the staff had irregular work and rest patterns,and24.80% of them had poor or very poor sleep quality. The results of the multifactorial analysis showed that undergraduate education(OR=2.543,95% CI:1.585-4.081),irregular dining(OR=2.038,95% CI:1.291-3.215),no physical exercise habit(OR=1.505,95%CI:1.226-1.846),irregular work and rest in the past month(OR=1.264,95% CI:1.011-1.580),and poor sleep quality(OR=10.293,95% CI:5.100-20.770)are the risk factors for health self-assessment.The increase in the total score of job satisfaction(OR=0.959,95%CI:0.951-0.968)is a protective factor for health self-assessment.The increase in the normalized workload score of the new coronavirus(OR=1.077,95%CI:1.048-1.108)was a risk factor for injury in the past two weeks.Conclution Analysing the current situation and effectiveness of the health education network in Shenzhen, the health education network and staff team have good reliability. However, from the survey of health education institutions and staff in Shenzhen,it is found that their development still faces difficulties such as facing an inadequate and irregular health education network, low professional level of the health education staff team, lack of full-time health education staff, insufficient investment in health education funding and equipment, and large disparities between institutions. The staff also face challenges such as increased workload and poor health conditions since the epidemic, which require further improvement and further improvements are needed.
