BackgroundHealth provides the foundation for people's all round development and has a direct bearing on the happiness of each family. The national physique directly affects the national productivity, and further influences the comprehensive national strength and its world position. The national physique and the public health status is one of the important sign on reflection of country and society development and progression. Thus, it is important to study the national physique and public health status. Energy is also a very important basis for society development. So economy develop, energy goes first. The staff in energy company undertake responsibility of energy production and supply and national energy safety, and also take a heavy task upon themselves beyond safety reliable and excellent energy supply for local economic development. The health of the staff which is the most important element of companies' achievements relates to production safety, economic benefit and company harmony. Therefore the study on healthy status of the staff is one important serious topic.ObjectivesTo cognize and evaluate the health status of the staff and to analysis the common chronic disease and its influence factors. Preventive and health care advices were put forward according to research results which may improve the staff health status.Source and MethodsThe source is from the data of physical check-up of the staff in the past years. The check-up items include disease history, life style, general physic examination, auxiliary examinations and so on. The staff who have the symptoms in the elementary examination should make further check-up such as CT or MR. The results were registered and concluded and were analyzed by SPSS 13.0.Main Results1. The total number of the staff in this energy company is 2577,2024 of them were taken physic examination accounting for 78.54 percents. Male employees account for 60.13 percents, female employees account for 39.87 percents; The number of young employees is the most; employees between 41 to 50 years old accounts for 54.00 percents.2. In living habits aspect, the proportion of drinking is 60.81 percents of male, the proportion of smoking is 27.08 percents of male, which are significantly higher than that of female; in exercise and sport aspects, the proportion that usually exercise is 46.94 percents; In diet habit aspect, the regular diet of 62.35 percents of exanimate employees is moderate meat food tie-in vegetable and fruit. Only minority tend to eat high-salt food or fatty food. In weight aspect,61.18 percents were overweighed, over weight male and female amounted to 72.58 percents and 43.9 percents respectively. The rate gradually ascends as age increases in female and male under 35. The weight reached its peak number in male from age 35 to 44 to be followed by a gradual decrease in older male group.3. In the check-up results, there are more than 30 kinds of ailments found. The first five diseases in the sequence of male are hyperlipidemia, hypertension, prostate diseases, fatty liver, and hyperglycemia. The first five diseases in the sequence of female are hyperlipidemia, cervical diseases, mammary gland diseases, hypertension, and uterine myoma.4. The results showed that the incidence rate of chronic ailment (hypertension, prostate diseases, over weighted, mammary gland diseases, uterine myoma) was increasing year by year, and the incidence rate of the other ailments (hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, cervical diseases, fatty liver) showed opposite tendenc5. The incidence rate of some common diseases differs significantly from local citizen. The incidence rate of following ailments is higher:low HDL-C, over weighted, hyperuricemia, and hypertriglyceridemia, hyperglycemia of male employees. Only the incidence rate of hypertension and hypertriglyceridemia of female is lower than that of local citizen.Conclusions and SuggestionThis research indicates that the health status of the staff of this energy company was hardly optimistic. Several measures were proposed to guarantee the staff's mental and physical health.1. More propaganda and education should be strengthened.2. Go on regularly with the physical check-up of staff and add some personalized check-up items.3. An electronic health care record system should be set up for human resource management of the enterprise.4. Heath management system should be established to assure health care personalization, systematization, regulation, and succession.4. Some essential condition and facilities should be provided to improve the working and living conditions.
