Pelvic organ prolapse(POP)is one of the common gynecological diseases, which is caused by multiple factors leading to defects in the pelvic floor supporting structure so that the uterus, bladder, rectum and other organs will move down and away from the normal physiological position. In recent years, the incidence rate of POP is on the rise, which brings a lot of physiological and social psychological pressure to patients.Among POP diseases, uterine prolapse accounts for the highest proportion, and the operative treatment is often adopted for moderate and severe POP for effective intervention. In the past, hysterectomy was the main method of surgical treatment. However, with the development of pelvic floor theory, the POP surgical method has gradually changed and innovated in recent years.Instead of simply removing the uterus as the main target,it emphasizes on starting from the pathogenesis to correct the structural defects of the pelvic floor, and selecting safe, effective and minimally invasive surgical procedures with less complications, which are easy to operate. At present, many surgical methods for uterine prolapse have been derived from traditional surgical methods. This study collected the patients with moderate and severe uterine prolapse who visited the China-Japan Friendship Hospital from January 1,2015 to January 31,2021,and retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 135 patients who received laparoscopic uterine linear suspension of the abdominal wall and 121 patients who received traditional vaginal hysterectomy. We evaluated the clinical efficacy of the two types of surgery, and their advantages and disadvantages.Meanwhile,we analyzed the safety and effectiveness of laparoscopic uterine linear suspension of the abdominal wall, and discussed the advantages of the emerging surgical method for preserving the uterus,so as to provide more and better treatment options for patients who would like to preserve the uterus. For gynecological surgeons, this study help them make individualized surgical plans, have a great grasp of surgical indications and contraindications, and achieve the goal of minimizing trauma and maximize clinical benefits in the treatment process.
