Objective: In order to aid in the clinical treatment of femoral neck fractures in young and middle-aged people as well as postoperative functional rehabilitation,it was decided to investigate the short-term effectiveness of a compound compress system under the direction of the "dynamic and static combination" theory. Methods: From October 2020 to June 2022,a total of 50 young and middle-aged patients with femoral neck fractures were hospitalized in the orthopedic ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Chinese Medicine. There were 18 cases of the compound compress system group and 32 instances of the hollow screws group, which were separated into groups based on the various surgical techniques. To assess the effectiveness differences between the two surgical approaches, data on intraoperative blood loss, fluoroscopy, fracture healing time,Harris hip function score, and postoperative complications in various time frames were gathered and statistically analyzed. Results: Among the 50 patients included in this study,36 patients met the clinical healing criteria for fractures after surgery, while 14 patients underwent second stage hip arthroplasty in our hospital due to bone nonunion or femoral head necrosis.4 patients in the hollow screws group who had bone nonunion and 5 patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head, and 2 patients in the compound compress system group who had bone nonunion and 3 patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head.1.The compound compress system group experienced more intraoperative blood loss than the hollow screws group did,and this difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The number of intraoperative fluoroscopies was lower in the compound compress system group compared to the hollow screws group, and this difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The compound compress system group’s fracture healing time was faster than the hollow screw group’s,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Harris’ hip function score showed that the compound compress system group performed better than the hollow screws group in the sixth and ninth months following surgery. The difference between the two groups in the sixth month following surgery was statistically significant(P<0.05),whereas the difference in the ninth month following surgery was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: Both hollow screws and compound compress system are effective internal fixation methods for the treatment of femoral neck fractures in young and middle-aged patients, but the compound compress system group has advantages in intraoperative fluoroscopy times and postoperative Harris hip function score. In conclusion, the compound compress system under the guidance of the theory of "dynamic and static combination" can make the patients perform functional exercise as soon as possible and accelerate the recovery of hip joint function in the treatment of femoral neck fracture in young and middle-aged patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
