Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of hollow compression screws for thetreatment of femoral neck fractures in different ages. Methods: A retrospective analysis of70cases of fresh femoral neck fractures in ourhospital from June2008to August2013. This group of70patients, male32cases, female38cases, age18~82years old, were divided into the young group and old group, Theaverage age of the two group were43±11.48years and66.4±8.21years respectively;Injury causes:19cases of traffic accident,17cases of falling injury from height,34cases offalling. Garden classification: type I5cases, type II24cases, type III30cases, type IV11cases. Time from injury to operation:0~7days, with an average of2.95±2.89days. Alluses hollow compression screws internal fixation methods treatment. Carefully evaluatepatients’ conditions before operation. After anesthesia, using traction bed for closedreduction or open reduction,3hollow compression screw fixation, using C type armmachine to irradiate the frontal and lateral of hip to determine the reduction, needleposition and depth. Do postoperative functional exercise and reasonable, regularreexamination. All of the70patients were followed up, collect patients’ data, explore theclinical efficacy of hollow compression screws for the treatment of femoral neck fracturesin different ages. The resulting data were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS17.0Results: Regular follow-up after operation, and accept X-ray examination. Thefollow-up time is5months to50months, with an average of24.16±12.25months. Nothealing in7cases, including1case in eldly group,6cases in young group; According tothe fracture type: type I0cases, type II1cases, type III3cases, type IV3cases.12casesof caput femoris necrosis, including the elderly group of2cases,10cases of young group, with type I0cases, type II1cases, type III7cases, type IV2cases. Harris hip score for the excellent and good rate was80%. P<0.05had statistical significance. All incision of thecases were primary healed, no infection. Conclusion: This study shows that, In general, the use of hollow compression screwsfor the treatment of fresh femoral neck fractures have good effects in different ages, withadvantages of small trauma, reliable fixation, it is worth of application. And the younggroup has relatively worse effects than the old age group. |
