The Clinical Effect Of Treatment With Combiningthe Hollow Compression Screws With Jie Gu Xu Jin Oral Liquid For Femoral Neck Fractures

Objective:Observation and evaluation with the hollow compression screwscombined with Jie Gu Xu Jin Oral Liquid in treatment of the femoral neckfractures on the healing and avascular necrosis of the femoral head as wellas the hip function activities.Methods:98patients with femoral neck fracture in the First AffiliatedHospital of Anhui University of traditional Chinese medicine orthopaedicsfrom April2009to April2013,which were randomly divided into treatmentgroup with62cases and control group with36cases. The control groupwas treated with the hollow compression screws,and the treatment groupwas treated with the hollow compression screws combined with Jie Gu XuJin Oral Liquid, three times everyday, a20ml, oral three months.Analysisand comparison of two groups of the rate of fracture healing and avascularnecrosis of the femoral head,as well as hip joint function activities by thehip function activities and radiograph.Evaluation the clinical curative effectof hollow compression screws combined with Jie Gu Xu Jin Oral Liquid inthe treatment of femoral neck fractures.Result: The rate of nonunion with the hollow compression screwscombined with Jie Gu Xu Jin Oral Liquid(3.23%) is lower than fixed withthe hollow compression screws simply (13.89%)(P<0.05),and the rate ofavascular necrosis of the femoral head(6.45%) is lower than fixed withthe hollow compression screws simply (22.22%)(P<0.05),as well as therate of the hip function activities(93.55%) is higher than the hollowcompression screws simply (75.00%)(P<0.05).Conclusion: Hollow compression screws combined with Jie Gu Xu Jin OralLiquid in the treatment of the femoral necks is conducive to promote thehealing of fracture and decrease avascular necrosis of the femoral head,as well as improve the hip activity.
