| ObjectiveThrough the questionnaire survey of hypertensive patients, personality characteristics of TCM syndrome, and the age, gender, blood pressure grade and TCM syndrome distribution of hypertensive patients are analyzed;explore whether the correlation of hypertensive patients of different TCM syndrome and personality characteristics, and provide reference for the prevention and treatment of hypertension from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine and psychology.MethodsThe study subjects were from inpatients presenting to Liaocheng Second People’s Hospital from 2021.11 to 2022.5.Ninety-eight hypertensive patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected and questionnaire.Including:The TCM syndrome element collection table for hypertensive patients includes the age, gender, blood pressure and symptoms and signs of TCM,and determines the TCM syndrome type and EPQ-RSC scores of hypertension. The study is divided into two parts:One:According to the information of patients’ gender, age, blood pressure grade and TCM syndrome type were statistically analyzed, and the distribution of gender, age, blood pressure grade and TCM syndrome type of hypertensive patients was observed. Two:Statistical analysis was conducted according to the scores of the EPQ-RSC and the four different TCM syndrome types. To explore the correlation of personality characteristics of four different TCM syndrome in hypertensive patients. All data were collated using the software Excel and analyzed for statistical analysis by SPSS25.0.Statistical number, frequency, frequency and count data were expressed by[Example(%)],and the difference between groups was compared with x2 Test, measurement data are expressed as((?)±S),with t-test,and one-factor ANOVA test between multiple groups, with P<0.05 as a valid significant difference.Results1.General distribution of hypertension patientsThe average age of 200 patients with hypertension was 60.9±12.4 years old, most of them were between 61 and 70 years old.Among them,87(43.5)were male patients with an average age of 55.2±13.0 years; There were 113(56.5)female patients with an average age of 65.3±9.9 years. There are more male patients under 50 years old and more female patients over 60 years old.The blood pressure level of male patients is mostly level 3,while that of female patients is relatively uniform.Patients aged between 41 and 50 years old or older than 60 years old are more likely to have hypertension reaching grade 3.2.Distribution of TCM syndrome types in patients with hypertensionAmong the 200 patients with hypertension, the highest proportion of phlegm retention syndrome was 41.0%(82 cases). Most of them were aged from 61 to 70 years old,but there was no difference in gender or blood pressure grading distribution. The proportion of kidney-yin deficiency syndrome was 26.5%(53 cases),and the age was more than 71 years old. There were more female patients, mostly with grade 3 hypertension. The proportion of hyperactivity of liver-yang syndrome was 21.0%(42 cases),most of which were≤ 40 years old or between 51 and 60 years old. There was no difference in gender distribution, but the main type was grade 3 hypertension. At least 11.5%(23 cases)of the patients with stasis syndrome were aged from 61 to 70 years old,and there was no difference in gender distribution, and most of them were grade 3 hypertension.3.Relationship between TCM syndrome types and personality characteristicsThere was no statistically significant difference between the groups of TCM syndrome types of personality P dimension(P>0.05),but there was statistically significant difference between the four groups of TCM syndrome types of personality N and E dimension(P<0.05).Hypertension patients with hyperactivity of liver yang had higher scores in N and E dimensions of personality, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of N and E dimensions of hypertension patients with phlegm retention syndrome were lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in N and E scores between kidney-yin deficiency syndrome and blood stasis syndrome(P>0.05).Conclusion1.General distribution of hypertensionAlthough the prevalence of hypertension tends to be younger(the minimum age is 32 years),it is still dominated by elderly patients, with an average age of 60.9 ± 12.4 years. The majority of elderly patients are women, and the proportion of blood pressure level 3 is more.2.Distribution of TCM syndrome types of hypertensionThe TCM syndrome type of hypertension patients is mostly the syndrome of phlegm-yin stagnation, and the development law of TCM syndrome type with age is hyperactivity of liver yang>phlegm-yin stagnation(stagnation of blood stasis)>deficiency of kidney yin.The age of hyperactivity of liver-yang is mostly under 60 years old,and it is often dominated by grade 3 hypertension. The age of stop syndrome in phlegm and blood stasis is concentrated in 61 to 70 years old,and the deficiency of kidney-yin syndrome is mostly elderly female patients.3.Relationship between TCM syndrome type and personality characteristicsHypertension patients with hyperactivity of liver yang are more extroverted in personality, have relatively poor ability of emotional control and emotional stability; The patients with phlegm retention hypertension are more introverted in personality, have stronger ability of emotional control, and have higher emotional stability. |
