| Objective:To describe the current status of tuberculosis health literacy of middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City.Analysis the influence factors of tuberculosis health literacy among middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City.Understand the tuberculosis health education of middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City,and clarify their needs.Methods:This study is a non-experimental investigational study.From November to December2022,1809 middle school students from agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City were selected as survey subjects using convenient sampling method.The general questionnaire,the tuberculosis health literacy scale for middle school students,and the tuberculosis health education needs questionnaire for middle school students were used to conduct the survey.SPSS26.0 statistical software was used for data analysis.The general situation,tuberculosis health literacy and health education needs of the study subjects were described by means,standard deviation and composition ratio.The independent sample t-test,one-way ANOVA andχ~2test were used to compare the differences in tuberculosis health literacy of middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas in general demographic data.Binary Logistic Regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of tuberculosis health literacy in middle school students.Results:(1)The average score of tuberculosis health literacy among middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City was(69.88±11.50),and the pass rate was 53.2%.The total score and pass rate of tuberculosis health literacy among middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City were statistically significant in terms of gender,home address,residential school,grade level,father’s education,mother’s education,father’s occupation,mother’s occupation,annual household income,self-rated physical condition,and whether they had the disease in the past two weeks(P<0.05).(2)The main influencing factors affecting the health literacy levels of middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City were gender,residential school,grade level,mother’s education,father’s occupation,mother’s occupation,total annual family income,and self-rated physical condition(P<0.05).(3)Among the middle school students in the agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City,61.2%received formal tuberculosis health education,and 57.1%and 65.7%received formal tuberculosis health education in junior middle school and high school,respectively.In the self-assessment of the mastery of the main content of tuberculosis health education,less than 5%of secondary school students said that they had a very good grasp,and less than 15%of secondary school students said that they had mastery.The main ways to obtain tuberculosis health education included online,special lectures,mass media,and special publicity,accounting for 35.5%,22.2%,20.9%and 20.0%respectively.The most important forms of tuberculosis health education included self-study through various channels,school health care personnel teaching,health administrative departments or community medical personnel teaching,and family education,accounting for 21.3%,39.6%,25.9%and 11.5%respectively.(4)In terms of the demands for tuberculosis health education,the proportion of students who believe that the seven aspects of tuberculosis,such as the cause and clinical manifestations,transmission route,harm,diagnosis and treatment,and prevention knowledge and skills,are regarded as necessary contents of tuberculosis health education,reach more than 70%.There were more students who believed that the best way to learn about tuberculosis was special lectures and mass media,accounting for 36.7%and 24.2%respectively.37.2%and 39.5%of students believed that the best form of learning tuberculosis were taught by school health care personnel,health administrative departments or community medical personnel,respectively.More students believed that the best number of formal special education on tuberculosis per year was 1~2 times,accounting for 54.2%;29.6%and 36.7%of students considered it necessary and necessary to evaluate the effect of tuberculosis health education.Conclusion:(1)The overall level of tuberculosis health literacy of middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City is low,and it needs to be further strengthened and improved.(2)The main influencing factors of tuberculosis health literacy among middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City were gender,residential school,school section,mother’s education,father’s occupation,mother’s occupation,total annual family income,and self-rated physical condition.(3)Middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City have a low self-assessment of their mastery of the main content of tuberculosis health education,and the proportion of junior high school students who have received formal tuberculosis health education is lower than that of high school students.(4)Middle school students in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tongliao City have a higher demand for tuberculosis health education,and students are more inclined to give special lectures in terms of access routes,and are more inclined to lectures by health administrative departments or community medical personnel and school health care personnel in the form of access.It is recommended that the disease control departments and schools should carry out special lectures on tuberculosis health education for students every year as planned,and evaluate the educational effect. |
