Objective: This study observed the changes of clinical symptoms and quality of life of Gujin Xiaoji prescription combined with chemotherapy and chemotherapy alone on advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients with phlegm-stasis interconnection,in order to clarify the clinical therapeutic advantages and application value of the prescription for the treatment of advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients, which provides a powerful theoretical basis and reliable clinical guidance for the intervention of advanced lung adenocarcinoma with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)intervention.Contents and Methods: According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,60 advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients with phlegm-stasis interconnection who were treated in Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 were collected.According to the randomized grouping principle, they were divided into control group and treatment group. The control group was only treated with AP regimen(pemetrexed + cisplatin),and the treatment group was treated with Gujin Xiaoji prescription on the basis of the control group. The treatment takes21 days as a cycle, with a total of 2 cycles as the node for clinical evaluation.Observe and analyze the differences in general information,short-term objective efficacy,TCM clinical syndrome score, quality of life score, tumor marker CEA and CYFRA21-1 levels, and adverse reaction between the two groups,so as to evaluate the clinical application potential of Gujin Xiaoji prescription in improving the symptoms of advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients with phlegm-stasis interconnection.SPSS 26.0statistical software was used to analyse the above research data. Results: In this study,30 patients were enrolled in the treatment group and 30 in the control group. There were no statistical differences in gender, age and stage between the two groups, which were comparable(P >0.05).The objective response rate(ORR)was 26.7% and the disease control rate(DCR)was 80% in the treatment group. The ORR was 20.0% and the DCR was 63.3% in the control group. However,no statistical difference was observed in the short-term objective efficacy between the two groups(P >0.05).But in the improvement of TCM syndromes scores, their scores of the two groups was decreased after treatment compared with those before(P <0.01).Compared with the control group, the score of the treatment group decreased more significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).After treatment, the improvement rates of TCM symptoms in the treatment group and the control group were 83.33% and56.67%,respectively.The effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant by statistical analysis(P < 0.05).In terms of improving the quality of life, the KPS score of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The levels of tumor markers CEA and CYFRA21-1 in the treatment group decreased after treatment compared with those before(P < 0.01).The results showed that the CEA level was lower than the control group, with statistical difference(P < 0.05),but there was no statistical difference between the two groups in reducing CYFRA21-1 levels(P > 0.05).Regarding the occurrence of adverse reactions, there were no serious adverse reactions in both groups throughout the study. However, the treatment group was relieved in terms of the incidence of nausea and constipation compared with the control group, which was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In contrast, there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of myelosuppression after chemotherapy(P >0.05).Conclusion: Phlegm-stasis interconnection is a common syndrome type in patients with advanced lung adenocarcinoma.Patients develop a series of symptoms such as dry cough, small and sticky sputum, chest tightness, chest pain, etc.due to the deficiency of positive qi,accumulation of phlegm, blood stasis, and stagnant evil toxins, and obstruction of lung qi.Gujin Xiaoji prescription is created for the three major characteristics of “advanced stage”,“lung adenocarcinoma” and “phlegm-stasis intertwined type”.It can mainly relieves the syndrome characteristics of phlegm and blood stasis in patients.Gujin Xiaoji prescription has excellent efficacy in improving the clinical symptoms of TCM,enhancing the quality of life, and alleviating the gastrointestinal reactions caused by chemotherapy, which has good clinical promotion value.
