The Effect Of Electro Acupuncture And Calcitriol Combination Therapy On Serum E₂,IL-6 And Bone Mineral Density In Ovariectomized Rats With Osteoporosis

Objective To observe the effect of electro acupuncture and calcitriol combination therapy on serum E2,IL-6 and bone mineral density(BMD)in ovariectomized rats with osteoporosis.Methods Preparation of rat model of postmenopausal osteoporosis,model validation was performed before treatment,after a successful replication model,and were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group,electro acupuncture(EA)group,medicine group and acupuncture medicine group,were electro acupuncture,drugs,acupuncture combined with medicine treatment after,S-E2,IL-6 observations and the BMD of L1-L4 lumbar spine and right femur,and other indicators.Results Compared with the sham operation group,model group,estradiol level decreased,with statistical difference(P<0.01);compared with the model group,EA group increased estradiol levels,with statistical difference(P<0.05),Calcitriol treatment group,estradiol level increased,with statistical difference(P<0.05),the treatment group estradiol level was remarkably increased by combination of acupuncture and Calcitriol,with statistical difference(P<0.01).compared with the sham group,the level of IL-6 in model group increased,with statistical difference(P<0.01);compared with the model group,EA group decreased the level of IL-6,with statistical difference(P<0.05),Calcitriol treatment group reduced the level of IL-6,with statistical difference(P<0.05),treatment group the level of IL-6 decreased significantly with combined acupuncture and Calcitriol,with statistical difference(P=0.01).Compared with the sham operation group,model group,the BMD of right femur decreased,with statistical difference(P<0.01);compared with the model group,EA group,the BMD of right femur increased,but with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),Calcitriol treatment group the BMD of right femur increased.But with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),the treatment group increased the right femur BMD of acupuncture combined with Calcitriol,with statistically significant difference(P<0.01).Compared with the sham operation group,model group,the BMD of lumbar spine decreased,with statistical difference(P<0.01);compared with the model group,EA group,the values of BMD increased,with statistical difference(P<0.05),Calcitriol treatment group values of BMD increased,with statistical difference(P<0.01),the treatment group of lumbar BMD was increased more significantly with combined acupuncture and medicine,with statistical difference(P<0.001).Conclusion The treatment of electroacupuncture combined with Calcitriol effectively regulate the postmenopausal osteoporosis rats serum S-E2 level and IL-6 content,improve the bone mineral density of lumbar spine L1-L4 and right femur,and its mechanism may be through improving the serum level of E2,inhibiting inflammation due to secretion of IL-6,promote bone formation and inhibit bone the absorption,thereby increasing bone density,improve osteoporosis.
