Objective: Clinical observation on the effect of XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combining TongDu TiaoShen acupuncture in the treatment of vertigo after apoplexy.Methods: The study have a total of 64 subjects and they all come from the acupuncture ward of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of TCM.The subjects were separated into two perception bunch haphazardly.Every group has 32 subjects.During the study,there are 2 cases falling off in the perception group and 1 case in the observation group,where also was 1 case eliminated.In the end,there were both 30 subjects in each group.Based on the XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture and conventional therapy,the subjects in the observation group were treated with TongDu TiaoShen acupuncture,selecting Fengfu,Touwei,Shangxing,Baihui and Dazhui acupoints,while the control group were treated with traditional acupuncture,selecting Baihui,Fengchi,Taichong,Ganshu,Shenshu and Zusanli acupoints.Needle retaining time both are 30 minutes.Every patient has gotten needle therapy treatment once a day,7 days was a treatment cycle,and they all were treated 2 weeks.After every treatment cycle,the patients were evaluated according to various vertigo scales,such as Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI),Dizziness Assessment Rating Scale(DARS)and TCM syndrome scale of vertigo,to get comprehensive evaluation of clinical efficacy.Results: 1.Comparison of general information before treatment: There was no significantly different in baseline data such as sex,age and course of vertigo between the two groups and there was no difference in DHI scores before the treatment,indicating that the degree of vertigo was comparable.2.Comparison of DHI,DARS and TCM syndrome scores: After 2 weeks’ treatment,the DHI scores,DARS scores and TCM syndrome scores of each group has significantly decreased compared with those before treatment,with statistical significance(P < 0.01).On the 7th day of treatment,there were significant differences in DHI,DARS and TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P < 0.05).On the 14 th day of treatment,there were no significant differences in DHI scores(P=0.052 > 0.05),while greatly different in DARS and TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P < 0.05).3.Evaluating clinical effects: The total effective rate varied in two groups.It is 86.67%in the TongDu TiaoShen acupuncture group,and 63.33% in the traditional acupuncture group.The treatment group was higher than the control group,and there was statistical significance between them(P=0.002 < 0.01).Conclusion: 1.XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with TongDu Diao Shen acupuncture and XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with traditional acupuncture both can improve the vertigo status of patients after stroke,and the clinical efficacy of TongDu Diao Shen acupuncture is better than that of traditional acupuncture.2.Both TongDu TiaoShen acupuncture and traditional acupuncture can improve the vertigo symptoms of stroke patients,reduce the patients’ DHI and DARS scores.Compared with traditional acupuncture,TongDu TiaoShen acupuncture is more effective in the treatment of vertigo after stroke.3.The clinical effect of XingNao KaiQiao acupuncture combined with TongDu TiaoShen acupuncture on dizziness after stroke is better than traditional acupuncture,which has great feasibility. |
