| Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe Shu Yuan Tiao Du acupuncture therapy in the treatment of mild late-life depression through a clinical randomized controlled trial, and to provide a safe and effective treatment method for the clinical treatment of mild late-life depression. Methods:A total of 84 patients with late-life depression who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the outpatient department of the fifth Department of acupuncture and moxibution in the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, they were divided into 42 cases each in the test group and the control group using a randomized controlled trial. The test group used Shu Yuan Tiao Du acupuncture therapy, while the control group used conventional acupuncture and kept the acupuncture for 30 min, both groups were treated once a day,7 days as a course of treatment, with 6 days off for 1 day,for a total of 6 courses of treatment.Observation indicators included Hamilton Depression Inventory(HAMD-24),Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS-30),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),TCM Symptom Score Scale and item score for somatic symptoms in HAMD-24,and the efficacy was evaluated by the subtraction rate of HAMD-24 total score. The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 26.0software to compare the results and observe the differences in efficacy between the two groups. Results:A total of 40 cases were included in the group of Shu Yuan Tiao Du acupuncture therapy and 39 cases in the group of conventional acupuncture.1.The general conditions(age, gender, disease duration,type),HAMD-24,GDS-30,HAMA,TCM symptom score and item score for somatic symptoms in HAMD-24 of the two groups before treatment were not statistically different(P>0.05)and were comparable.2.Clinical efficacy: the total effective rate of the test group was 92.5%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 82.1%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).3.HAMD-24: After treatment, the HAMD-24 score of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the HAMD-24 of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.GDS-30: After treatment, the GDS-30 score of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the GDS-30 of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).5.HAMA: After treatment, the HAMA score of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the HAMA of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.TCM symptom score: After treatment, the TCM symptom score of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the TCM symptom score of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).7.item score for somatic symptoms in HAMD-24: After treatment, the item score for somatic symptoms in HAMD-24 of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the item score for somatic symptoms in HAMD-24 of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).8.Follow-up: 1 month after the end of treatment, the follow-up recurrence showed that the recurrence rate was 7.5% in the group of Shu Yuan Tiao Du acupuncture therapy and 17.9% in the group of conventional acupuncture, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:1.Both the Shu Yuan Tiao Du acupuncture therapy and the conventional acupuncture group were effective in the treatment of mild late-life depression.2.The Shu Yuan Tiao Du acupuncture therapy was superior to the conventional acupuncture group in improving patients’ depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms and somatic symptoms, and had more advantages in long-term efficacy. |
