Objective:To explore the difference in clinical efficacy between conventional acupuncture and dense wave cross-electroacupuncture combined with TDP irradiation in the treatment of Knee osteoarthritis(KOA)pain.Methods:64 KOA patients were randomly divided into control group(32 cases)and treatment group(32 cases). Both groups of patients were given conventional treatment during the treatment period. The prescription of the control group refers to the Acupuncture(13th Five-Year Plan" higher education textbook)and Evidence-based Guidelines of Clinical practice with Acupuncture and Moxibustion Knee Osteoarthritis(standard of chinese acupuncture and moxibustion society from China traditional chinese medicine publishing house). The treatment group used dense wave cross-electroacupuncture combined with TDP irradiation therapy. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, the Western Ontario and Mc Master Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),and TCM Syndrome Grading Quantitative Scale were used to evaluate the overall state of the knee joint and the improvement of clinical efficacy.Results:1.After treatment within the group, there were significant differences in the scores of the WOMAC scale,VAS score and TCM syndrome grading quantitative scale in the two groups compared with those in the same group before treatment(P<0.01).2.After treatment, compared with the control group, the WOMAC score,VAS score, and joint pain, joint swelling, joint fever, fatigue scores in the TCM Syndrome Grading Quantitative Scale were significantly different in the treatment group(P<0.01).Compared with the control group, the joint cold intolerance, waist and knee soreness and weakness scores in the TCM Syndrome Grading Quantitative Scale in the treatment group were statistically different(P﹤ 0.05).3.The total effective rates of the control group and the treatment group were 71.88% and 87.50%,respectively.The difference in curative effect between the two groups of patients was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Dense wave cross-electroacupuncture combined with TDP irradiation therapy can improve the overall functional state of knee joint in patients with KOA.2.Dense wave cross-electroacupuncture combined with TDP irradiation therapy can relieve knee pain symptoms in KOA patients.3.Dense wave cross-electroacupuncture combined with TDP irradiation is effective in the treatment of KOA patients, and the curative effect is better than the routine group.
